My brother and his family have been in the midst of moving. This means Linus and Cooter no longer live next door to me. :( Anyway, my sister in law thought that Linus broke his tail somehow. He had a lump in the middle of his tail. She said that he started losing hair on his back leg yesterday. She took him in to the vet today and they aren't exactly sure what is wrong with him. It could be some kind of fungus or staph infection or maybe ringworm I think she said. They did a culture. She said that in 3 days they should know what it is. She also has new medicine for his eye. The problem started coming back. I haven't seen him in a few weeks. I'm going to have to make a trip over there to say hi and take more pictures. I hope the little guy will be ok very soon.

Goodness, none of those are desirable so we'd best get those prayers going.....

I'm sorry to hear this.:( Hopefully whatever he has isn't too serious and can be easily treated. I'll keep him in my thoughts and prayers.

PT Prayers for LP! He had a rough start, but became a healthy little kitty quickly. His youth and energy will be on his side.:love:

I hope that whatever it turns out to be, that Linus will be able to get healthy and strong. He's already been through so much. At least he has a family now. That is such a blessing. Please update when you find out what it is that he has going on. :)

I asked my brother about him yesterday, but he had no idea what was going on. He did say that my SIL asked him to get her medicine to give Linus Saturday night that he hadn't seen before. I haven't talked to her because she's been sick. My mom went over there today and said that he was so cute and was acting normally. She had been gone and didn't know about his trip to the vet last week, so she didn't ask about him. Thanks for asking. I'll keep trying to get an update and pictures!!

My mom went over to see the new house, so I told her to make sure to ask about Linus Puppy. She just told me that the vet called them today and said that Linus has a fungus that can be treated. (I guess there was a possibility that it was something that couldn't be treated. But I didn't hear any specifics.) She needs to go to the office and pick up some pads to rub on his leg. She didn't go today because the vet closes at noon on Wednesdays. They couldn't find Linus all day. They called and called him and couldn't find him anywhere. The oldest niece even went outside looking for him incase he'd gotten out when they were bringing boxes inside. Then finally they found him just sitting on one of the beds sort of tucked under a blanket. He doesn't meow or obviously come when he is called. Mom said that the younger niece just kept saying, "Aunt Moe is going to be so mad. She is going to think it is our fault." They will be going to California for 2 weeks next month. I'll be going over to housesit. I will get pictures then.

I saw Linus today. He was combo tested yesterday and was negative! *whew* He has new medication and his fur seems to be growing back and his tail looks to be improving too. My sister-in-law said that he doesn't mind you touching it now. Before he would get very upset if you tried to do anything with it. I will be housesitting for them next week. So expect pictures!!

Of course! And I am glad to hear he's apparently feeling better as well.
