Gracie is dieing-she's gone-

I've not been around a lot the last couple weeks. I've been very busy with a new job and dog shows. I have to make time right now to inform you all that Gracie is getting ready to cross the bridge. I found her about an hour ago in her crate. When I called for her she didn't move. She's still breathing very labored breaths, but won't be here on earth much longer. I'm so distraught right now. A lot of crying. I'm shocked as she was acting very normal about the last month or so. Even this morning she was fine. She ate her breakfast and went out to potty like normal. I thought she was going to make it.

I had money saved back to have Gracie cremated, but when she was acting better I spent it. I don't have enough money for it now. I was upset because I want to have her with me always so my parents have volunteered to give me the money to have her cremated.

Not at this point. She's too far gone. It's like she's in a coma. She isn't responding. She is still breathing. I'm staying up with her as long as I can. I don't see how I could sleep at all. If she is still breathing at 7 tomorrow morning(that is 4 1/2 more hours) I'm taking her in to be euth. No vets are open here and none do after hours work. A drawback to living in a rural area. I don't want her to die, but I don't understand why she is still hanging on.

You are doing all you can - talk to her, tell her how much you love her and that it is okay for her to go the the Bridge. She will always be with you. From the readings I have done on RB pets the strong impression I get is that whenever you think of them, they are thinking of you.

Gracie will be taking another step on the journey that is mapped out for her. Love to you both :love:

Gracie is gone. She took her final breath about 6am. I don't know exactly because I did drift off for about an hour, but I was there with her. Thank you all for your kind words. I can't believe she's gone.:(:(:(:(

Rest In Peace Gracie. You were the dog that taught me how to raise a puppy, the first show dog, and most of all the BEST dog! I miss you already.

I burried Gracie this morning. She's got a real nice veiw in the back of my grandparent's property. Across the street from my house. My grandma is having a headstone specailly made with her picture on it.

I was going to have her cremated, but it just wasn't going to work out. I am fine with it though. I will always be able to visit her.

I am having such a hard time. It hit me hard today when I came home from work and she was not waiting for me. Talon was even looking for her outside this evening.

I really do feel for you,I find myself that was the hardest thing too,Coming home and not seeing them.I lost my Husky last year,and now Storm.And out of all the dogs those two were always the greeters.People always say it will be easier,When i lost Anna alot of my friendssaid to me" oh it will be easier in a month"..No i have to argue that,I never find it easier when our beloved pets are gone,I find though in time i could smile and laugh of stories about Anna.And knowing i did the right thing,And that even though i want her home with me.She is in a better place and hole again.
