Do you plan on adding a new pet to your family in 2009?
Yes,either another betta or a hamster.

No, I think 4 dogs is more than enough pets. :o

There is always that possibility, one never knows what might happen. Most of my pets come to me unexpectedly! ;)

Good heavens, I hope not. Ya never know, so I'll vote maybe.:p...This will be a fun thread Zippy. We can come back to it next year and see who voted right! ;)
maybe...we are consdering adding a few button quails(for the eggs), and seeing as I am a breeder, obviously there will a bunch more gerbils added.. Farley and Grace should expect their first litter around then, that is the main new pair so far we are looking forward to in 2009 lol.

Probably not, as we are moving in with David's sister (six dogs, three box turtles, a 45 gallon aquarium, three humans!). :) But, you know...I lied...we will be adding more fish once we get a larger aquarium. But, as far as another dog, we probably won't do that next year. Maybe 2010. But, who knows?!

Maybe, as it is certainly a possibility. :)

No, because I am having some of my pets taken away from me soon.

Unfortunatly not. I still have one more year of school away from home. I'll graduate in 2010 and hopefully will be in a situation to add a pet to the family. But as of right now, there's no way it would happen in the next year.

No. I'm planning on moving out of my parents' house this year and get a place with my best friend. Three of my dogs are coming with me (Luka will stay with my parents- she's more attached to them anyway) and I won't be able to afford another high maintenance pet (dog/cat). If any pet is added it would be, like, a fish. I have a fish already, though.
Plan for it? No. But I didnt plan on getting 1 dog much less 2.

I do not plan on it.
I did not plan on adding any in 2008, and we added 3: Tommy & Tuppence, and Mandy.
As some one else already said, things sort of happen!

My last two dogs were unplanned. I voted no, but who knows.
No plans at all. Now if some little homeless waif wanders into my yard with no tags or chip well...........:p:p
like the others, I didnt PLAN on either Rusty or Ladybug, I planned on Electra, Rusty just kinda showed up 6 months later. Ladybig had better timeing, I was planning on adding anouther dog in 2010, then Ladybug showed up and my plans on that went out the window because I fell head over heels for Ladybug lol. so while I DO plan on adding more Gerbils, and likley more fish, and possably button quails, that doesnt mean nothing else will be added. the possability of another snake is always there, and if anything happens to Kari I WILL be adopting another bunny.. so it all depends lol

Absolutely not. At this time it's looking like I'm at my dog limit until something happens to Dance or Spring... which hopefully won't be for at least 10 years.

No. I have 6 cats and that's already too many for my small condo. I'm way over my limit.

I don't plan on adding a pet, frankly, for a loooonnnng time.
We have a snake, who is apparently going to outlive all of us, but once he is gone, no more small animals in cages. The snake was my son's pet, he got him in grade school. Now my son is almost eighteen ... and you know how that goes, it's pretty much my snake now.
We also have six dogs. Keito is about sixteen years old, Pepper and Lucky are twelve, Georgie and Vanilla are eight ... and then we have the puppy, who is one and a half. So, I really can't see us adding any dogs to the pack until everyone has gone to doggie heaven except Sequoia. Then I might get a similar-aged friend for her.
So, no new dogs for about eight years, most likely.

I'm thinking about getting a cat after christmas.
I'm not sure if its going to happen but it's definitely a possibility. :)

No.... we have 4 cats now, and that is a great number. I am happy that they get along very well. I am also sure that Inka wouldn't accept one more "intruder"...!She needs lots of attention..:love::love::love:

Well, I said maybe. At this point NO more animals (two of each is enough). But who knows what 2009 holds. As sad as this may sound, the only way I'd get another animal is if one of mine (god forbid) went to the bridge. Ugh, I didn't even like typing that.
I get baby chicks every spring, so yes. As for dogs,NO! My last two dogs were unplanned.

Yes! I've wanted chickens for as long as I can remember (since I was a kid). My husband has promised me that this spring we'll finally get chickens!

I was planning on adding a bird the family the past few months, but if it wasn't one thing happening, it was 10 others.. So that most likely won't happen any time soon. I would still like to have a bird at one point, but I'm not sure if that will happen in 2009 or not.
As far as dogs go, I don't plan on adding anymore dogs to the family.. Alize' adores us, Brynn, and Deebo.. But isn't too fond of strange dogs, just because she is protective of Brynn & me. We could probably introduce a puppy to the family, and make it work out, but we are just going to stick with the 2 we have for now.
I love cats, but don't see having one of those either.
But as others have said, things sometimes just happen so you never know until it does. I voted maybe.

I said yes. Turkeys will be available starting March as they are every year. They are seasonal, so only available certain months of the year.
It just depends what happens next year but certainly could be another pet too.

I wasn't gonna announce this to anyone else(other then Cindy) for now but Yes, I think we may be adding another family member to our house, a cat or dog, but I would MUCH prefer a dog. No offense to cat people, I would love both but if I had to choose one, I would choose a dog. I can't take cat for a walk, hike, etc. I just want a pet to love again, I know I have Star and she's m heart bird but there's only so much you can do with a parakeet. Anyway, I am such a dog person it does sometimes gets embarrassing. I loved Max with all my heart, but it was just not meant to be I guess. My mom said if I don't nag, then maybe. Its like a 50% I'll be owned by a dog before the summer. :D
Recently, I think having a dog blinded me from society and how bad it can be sometimes, and after seeing what people(including some friends) can do to you, I think I NEED a pet to go to when I have no one else. Ok yeah ill stop I'm getting all corny now.
I don't plan too, but then most of my additions are never planned. *laughs*
Well, 2008 brought you 4 more geckos and a bunch of Hermit Crabs, and lately I've been hearing the words 'skunk' and 'hedgehog'.......

I just added a sphynx Dec 10th.
She is my only purebred cat and I plan on showing her.
I might had another one this if I learn how to show.
I am afraid I will not have coco much longer either because she has crf and is almost 17.

like most, I don't "plan" on adding any more fur-kids. But then again I didn't plan on getting the 2 I have now any more than I planned on Montego crossing the bridge either. After that, I planned to just get one cat, so I've already got twice as many as I originally planned not to plan for, LOL.
