is going to a new home!!! A woman was visiting the cat show yesterday and fell in love with him. We got to talking as she held Ari (he was purring away nuzzling her in the neck, while was telling me she had 2 Sphynxes in the past (one died of cancer, the other from an aneurysm). She showed me pictures. I asked her if she was interested in adopting Ari and her face lit up light a Christmas tree.

I'll miss him, but I know in my heart he'll have a wonderful furrrreever home. She only lives one town over and I've already spoken to her vet who gave her a glowing reference. She has 2 shelties and 2 older cats (in their late teens). Ari is such a laid back mellow cat, that I know he'll do well.

Dorothy and I spoke on the phone last night for over an hour. First thing she's going to do is take him to the vet for a check up and an updated rabies shot (it was due Oct. 15th). She said she's very anxious for me to see all her furkids. She told me I could visit anytime.

I also introduced her to one of my friends who happens to be a Sphynx breeder. Later on, I asked Sandy what she thought. She didn't hesitate in saying that she thought it would be an awesome home for Ari.

So, as of tonight, Ari will be living in Enfield. Have a long wonderful life my sweet boy. I love you with all my heart and know you'll be happy.:love:

That's such good news, Donna. I can "hear" the relief in your "voice". Well done, girl! :)

Fantastic! Have a wonderful home, Ari - and your first mommy will come and visit some time.

Does that mean there is a space for a "B" boy?;)

Catty1,

There sure is room, however I really want to have just my four originals, Mollie, Moo, Maya and Shortie. But if Buddy does come back, he'll be welcome with open arms and paws.

The house Ari went to is beautiful. It's on a cul-de-sac and has a wood burning stove in the finished basement where Dorothy said the other two older cats hang out (can't blame them). What was REALLY bizarre was when I was on my way home, I was a little sad because I knew I'd miss Ari. But dear old Dad (rest his soul) gave me his signature reassuring "cigar" smoke so I knew I did the right thing.

It sounds like Ari has found a wonderful home. I hope he will settle into his new family well and get along with his new cat siblings. The woodburning stove sounds very cozy. :)
