Sat evening I lost 1/2 my 90gal tank :`(
The filter failed again, except this time it was worse, much worse. The filter was only dribbling water out but it was toxic water, as the filter had let a massive build up of nasty sludge again. I had done a quick water change before I went out sat to a halloween party & it was clear. When I returned the water was thick & 1/2 my tank was dead.
I lost:
3 5" Bala Sharks
1 1.5"~2" Black Skirt Tetra
2 6" Chinese Algie Eaters
3 little Tetras
and possibly more as I cannot see the fish that live in the rock pile.
I was up all night sat trying to save whats left of my babies. I did a 50% water change in hopes that would help without killing them. I cleaned & cleaned the malfunctioning filter in hopes I could get it to work through out the night. At noon on sunday Jordan & I went to Dragon & I bought a new filter. Its for a 100gal tank, so it'll do a nice job. It set me back $210.00 after taxes. I was soooo darn lucky that it was on sale (almost $100.00 off)!!
But this means I cannot do the xmas card swap anymore... Oh well, my fishies are more important anyways.
