Hi guys! My roommates bassett hound puppy's eating habits have dropped. He used to devour a bowl of food in 2 minutes flat, not it may sit there all day and not get eaten. Should she be alarmed? He is 5 months old and is just as entergetic as always and he still drinks plenty of water.

Not right at this moment. As his body changes, so will his appetite.

One way to ensure this, is to leave the food down for about 15 for his feeding. If he doesn't eat during this time, then lift it up. Don't feed him again until his next feeding.

As long as his activity level is still normal and he's drinking water, don't worry too much. If this changes or you still feel something is wrong, always go to the vet.

You may also want to have him wormed if you haven't yet.

Sometimes Nebo will eat, sometimes he won't. Like last night he snarfed up his food, but this morning I could hardly get him to eat anything. I don't quite get it myself. He drinks normal and has plenty of energy too. I do the scheduled feedings also. Since I am in the same boat, I'm not sure how to help you. Has he stopped eating completely??

yes he was wormed. My gosh, the vet said that he had more worms than he had ever seen. This was about 2 months ago though. He came from a breeder that keeps the dogs outside.
