I have a friend who is wanting to find another home for her cat. She is allergic to her and her *human* pregnancy has made the allergy worse. Molly is about 8-9 years old, declawed, spayed female. A beautiful Tiger/white mix with verrrry soft fur. She's already given the cat to her dad a few years ago and then he booted her outside for awhile. yes, she was declawed at the time. Then when she and her new husband bought a house she brought her home. She gets along well with their dog - she is so starved for affection that she tries to seek attention from the dog.
She is very sweet, she keeps asking me if I'll take her which in turn really :mad::mad:. My house is tooooooo small and I promised Kylie in a session with Nancy that there would be no more cats coming into the house as long as she is alive.
I expressed my concern that I was afraid she would take her to the HS and I felt if she did that she would be put to sleep. She agreed with me and said she had no intention of doing that at all.
In a perfect world, everyone would be a pet talker but fact of the matter is, this isn't a perfect world.
I wasn't sure about putting this on PT b/c I didn't think anyone would want her - but reading about Splinter in TN gave me some hope and maybe someone will come thru.
She expressed regret in doing this. We had a serious chat about it today and I told her I have known several people on here that have had to rehome their cat(s) for one reason or another. I told her that Cristy sounded like a good home. :)

since we are looking for a cat for my son, I need to ok it with him...do you have any pictures (a really cute one that he will fall in love with, by chance:) that you can post? One other question, we couldn't take the kitty for a couple of weeks...since we aren't in our new house yet....is that a problem??

Cristy,
Thank you. I was going to PM Staci and let her know that if she can find the transport for her, I'd take her and try to find a home for her.
Bless you for stepping up.

:)
We could probably find a Foster Home for a few weeks if Molly 'needs to GO'
before your new home is ready.
WHERE is the 'new house' located??

I've sent you pm's! :D
Just so that you know Cristy is the person I got Little Bear (LB) and Lucky from when she could not take them with her. Moving from N.J. to Mich. and staying in temp houseing. She seems like a very nice person and takes care of her feline babies.
By the way Cirsty tell your son I'm sorry for renaming Turtle to Lucky.

thanks for the input Gill! :)
I talked with my friend today and the urgency that I felt isn't as high as I originally thought. She would like to talk to Cristy either via email or phone. She definately wants her to be indoor only b/c she wasn't happy either when her dad dumped her outside. She has no intention of taking her to the HS or dumping her anywhere either. She feels bad and is second guessing herself of course. I told her if she is allergic to Molly there's a good chance that the baby might be as well, and she would have to be rehomed with greater urgency then.
As long as she is well loved and cared for she will be happy for Molly.
She is willing to keep her until Cristy and the family are ready in their new home. And she's willing to drive her to Cristy. I told her if she couldn't I would or I would go with her.
I'll PM this all to Cristy. :)

I've requested a pic - she'll see what she can do about a picture- Cristy's Son would like one as well :)
She's working 12 hours Sat/Sun this weekend.
Thanks for the positive thoughts.
She's feeling very very guilty about this - but doesn't want to keep Molly out of guilt either. Cristy doesn't want my friend to feel like they are taking her cat and my friend doesn't want Cristy to feel as tho they have to take Molly either.
I'll keep you posted.
