Dear Diary,

Typical Saturday night. M & P went out to dinner. Left me and HH home alone. I found something interesting to watch (not like I can reach the buttons on the T.V.!!)

When they came home I was still watching. Curlie said.."what is it boy?"

Suddenly I lost interest. They grabbed me, they even grabbed HH. They put me in Curlie's office!

It doesn't work that way! No, I do NOT see anything!

No! I did not feel any small creature just run under my bum!

But how entertaining they were. Yes, they caught the poor little mouse. Meowmie used a sieve and a file folder. Pawpie used a yard stick to direct the little thing.

Then they put it outside...on the other side of the wall (like that will matter!....:D:D)

I love Saturday nights!

Rodently,

Eddie

Typical Saturday night.

I found something interesting to watch ...

No! I did not feel any small creature just run under my bum!

>snikker<

Boots, da Kat (RIP :( )
used to share his space with the lil brown Meece, too.
I could tell whenever Boots had "Friends In" ... there was alway a ring of
lil tiny black grains of 'rice' (aka Mouse Poops ) around his Krunchie
Kup on the vanity.

Always the thoughtful host; Boots often organized "games" for his guests.
"Tag" was a favorite; the Dawgs and I would return via the basement -
the Dawgs looking UP at the floor of the bathroom as the sounds of
thundering paws were heard from above ...
We'd go UP and peek into the open door of the bathroom ---
And there's da KAT - holding a fast-paced game of TAG with a Mouse
Buddie. EVERY time he managed to *paw* the poor critter and hold it
down, he'd immediately relaese it and wait till it took off again before
giving chase again. More than once da MOUSE lasted longer than da Kat!
I carried more than one exhausted but unharmed Mousy outside for
relaese whilst da Kat looked all over the bathroom for his "Friend".

Glad the Bi-peds provided additional entertainment for you and HH.
:D

I think your purrents are always quick in spoiling your fun don't you think so Eddie?
We never had a mouse within this house here but I would be VERY curious to see how hospitable F+T would be.

At least your new entertainment didn't have a heart attack, Eddie.

I sympathise. We have had a number of those chases round the house, and those things are fast! Mind you, at least you can see that one easily. Eddie's new pal looks absolutely enormous.

Eddie, I don't think Fister has ever seen a mouse, but I'm sure he'd enjoy it as much as you!

I can picture your mom and dad trying to catch that little critter - a shame we can't see a video of it. :D

Oh Eddie !

That's a pretty big mouse :eek: don't think M + P would enjoy cleaning up the aftermath so it's just as well they got in and assisted with the situation. Besides the entertainment value must have gone up quite a few ratings :D;

Good thing you were there to protect HH - who knows what might have happened:eek:;)

Have a good rest now ;)

What fun entertainment for you on a Saturday night! (Giz would have grabbed it and had a ball playing with it.) Wasn't it nice of your Mom & Dad to put it outside unharmed... so he can come back on another boring Saturday night.

What we do NOT understand....last weekend Eddie caught a dove -- which he brought into the house (he did not kill it. We caught it and put it back outside...sigh..) So WHY would he not catch the mouse and take it outside???

It really did run right under him.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Live entertainment is always much more fun than tv, eh, Eddie?

I bet watching your purrents chase that mousie was priceless! :D

My, my, my, how times have changed! Funny how the other thread about Eddie's story has resurfaced at the exact same time a thread about him not eating a mouse is started.

Eddie, a few short years ago that mouse would have been dinner in a heartbeat! Now, a few short, leisurely and might I say luxuriously spent years later and the mouse is running under your tummy instead of being in your tummy! :D

Hi fellow kitty!
Eddie, what was funnier, that mousie who only wanted to play with you or your purrents trying to catch him? Hoomins can be so funny at times, can't they? One time there was a mousie in my house and we had loads of fun playing tag and hide-n-seek. The mousie got tired and didn't want to play anymore so when he passed out cold I put him on Soncat's pillow. The look on Soncat's face when he went to bed and saw it was priceless! I laughed for days.

Groucho

Boy, that's quite a mouse!

It's really nice of you Eddie not to have killed it.

Pichu is our lasiest cat (one might think), but this summer as we had the garden, he cought at least three or four birds. None of them survived, unfortunately. Nobody who knew him could believe that he is such a mighty hunter.

So, Eddie, what you're saying is that you don't do mice? Not a mouser, that's you.

Let's see... There's chicken, turkey, beef, fish... but no mouse kitty food. Maybe Eddie has just never developed a taste for mouse? Sauté of field mouse!
