RIP sweet Samantha 6/26/88-8/28/08

This is so hard to post.:(
My sweet Samantha went to the Rainbow Bridge today.
She was with me for 20 wonderful years and she was the best cat ever!
Samantha was so healthy over the years but in just the last couple of weeks her health and quality of life went downhill fast.:(
It was the hardest decision I have ever had to make to decide it was time for her to be pain free and we had the vet come out to our house rather than take her to the vet's office one last time.:(
I miss her so much! It was so hard to say goodbye to her.:(
I just can't stop crying now, I will have to post some photos of her later when I feel up to it.

I'm in shock and so sorry to hear this.:( She always looked so healthy in her pictures that I some how thought she would live on and on for many more years to come. At least you had 20 wonderful years with her so you'll have many great memories and pictures of her. Now she's with her beau Tubby and his sister Peanut playing happily at Rainbow Bridge. I am so very sorry. Twenty years of love and purrs from such a wonderful girl as Samantha. I still cry when I read these comments about her, I really miss her a lot.

Debbie, that is interesting about the butterflies, on Sunday morning when I was driving my daughter to her horseback riding lesson she said "Look mom, there's a Monarch butterfly!" It flew right by our windshield and I think it may have been Samantha letting us know that she had done her job in helping us find the two new cats the night before and that she was moving on now and that we were going to be ok without her.

It's been two months now since she's gone to the Rainbow Bridge.
I still miss her a lot.

Thank you for sharing the pictures of sweet Samantha! I know how close the two of you were, and it is no wonder that you miss her so much, especially after being together for so many years.

I know that I will feel the same way when my Tabitha goes to the RB..... we have been through a lot in 20 years together!

Samatha looked a lot like my cat Alison. Sending out my prayers during this difficult time.
