Not sure if either of these have been posted before or not but I found it amazing and appalling at the same time.

The interview says that all the male cats are neutered, and she does keep the place clean but still...130+ cats like a mob in a two room house just doesn't seem right.

:eek::eek::eek::eek:

I can't even imagine the work involved with that!

The cats do look good though. they seem to weigh enough and they seem well groomed (as a groomer I can spot a mat a mile away :p ) They seem fairly calm, too. But still, wall to wall cats (literally) just doesn't seem right.

I, too, was struck by the cleanliness of her home and the healthy appearing cats. For me though, I can't see having so many cats/dogs/whatever that you can't have an individual relationship with each one. I guess it is better than having them forage on the streets for food. At any rate, it was nice to see someone providing a clean home and some degree of veterinary care unlike the hoarders we see so often in the news.

Yes, the place is clean and they look healthy. BUT to me it just doesn't seem fair to the cats. They hardly have room to move. They do not have a chance EVER to just be left alone. I mean, it's great that she's rescued them from the streets and all, but why doesn't she try to find homes for some of them?
Imagine what her vet bill is like? :eek:
In the video when she is throwing kibble out it reminded me of when I used to feed the chickens. I don't know....it makes me a little sad. :(

I agree the cats look clean and healthy and the home looks clean. But the cats can't get individual attention. What happens to the cats if the lady dies?

Ok, the frantic rush for the thrown kibble is way too much for me! :eek::rolleyes: There was no room for them without having to slap at eachother and jump over one another ... that's just not right. Yes, they do look healthy but how can she really know if one of them has a wound from a brawl or simply being stepped on during a feeding frenzy. Just a bit too much for my liking.

It's difficult for me to watch. Part of me feels that she's a hoarder, no matter how well taken care of the cats look. Another part of me says that at least they are being taken care of. I don't know. I certainly don't want to judge her but when I see things like this, I feel that it's more about the human and less about the cats. How can she afford vet care, let alone just food for all of them? W/7 cats of my own, just grooming and clipping nails takes a lot of time and then there's the daily vacuuming, dusting, etc. Too much of anything is, IMO, not good, not for her and not for them. I'm sure she has a good heart but she'd elderly and when she dies, then what?

THE PART THAT GETS TO ME IS THE PART WHERE SHE PUTS THE BOWL DOWN AND ALL THE BIG CATS GET THERE FIRST , AND THERE ARE SMALL CATS WHO CANT EVEN GET CLOSE TO THE FOOD.
WHERE ON EARTH WHERE THEY GET A GOOD NIGHTS SLEEP, AND HOW ON EARTH WOULD YOU KEEP ALL THOSE LITTER BOXES CLEAN?
THATS JUST WAY TOO MANY FOR THIER PEACE OF MIND , AND SOME ONE WILL BE LEFT OUT NO MATTER HOW HARD SHE TRIES.:cool::D

:love: Yes I have seen this before.. Its still overwhelming.. Just think of a average 65 cats per room.. Too many for me.. But hey the lady does mean well..
