Yes, Rascal, I love you too!

I feel something strange happening on my head. I start to wake up, I open one eye - and there I am eyeball to eyeball with Rascal. What in the world is he doing?

And then I feel this gentle pulling on my hair - but then it becomes a bit more, shall we say "amorous" as I feel him try to also bite my scalp.

This will now require both eyes to be open so that I can say "Rascal, yes, I love you too - very much - but the clock says it is only 4:30 AM - now settle down and go back to sleep."

He settles down and goes back to sleep - I on the other hand, am now wide awake. I try to move but quickly realize that I have all three cats on the bed with me - that is something new - the girls rarely are on the bed together without having a hissy fit.

Oh, those love bites:D. I get them too from our son Tubi. Well, they had to make sure they let you know how much they love you, even if it's 4:30 am...Heart knows no time:D...

Back in the day when I used to allow the Fur Posse to sleep w/me, Specs used to do that. He'd actually spoon me! And once he bit my ear, then I said "Ok, that'll be enough o' that!" Shortly after that, I relocated everyone to sleep elsewhere. Mom needs her sleep. :rolleyes:

Saturday night I was sleeping under a sheet only as it was very warm but I had the comforter on the side to get it when it gets colder in the early hours. So when I wanted to grab it it was very heavy- yes: Filou and Tigris on it close together;)

Aww Gini, that is SO sweet that Rascal comes up in bed to tell you how much he loves you - even it IS 4AM. :) I’m glad the girls have decided it’s OK to be close together. :)

Reading everyone else’s stories, it seems that Fister is very civilised, he will patiently wait till I’m at least moving - but in the evenings, he will come up the minute I take my book, give me a headbumpie and then knead into my arm and chest (glad I clipped his nails!) After giving him some kisses, stroking his cheeks, and telling how much I love him, he’ll turn on the side and cuddle up to me, often lifting his head to reach mine. :love:

He will even put up with my book resting on him. He’s such a joy! :D

I was lying on the floor last night watching the divers, and she came over and plopped herself down about an arm's reach away from me. Little by little when she figured out I wasn't going anywhere, she kind of scooted back till she had her backside right up against me. She's not often snuggly like that so I take it when she gives it out!

I agree LOVE THE PILE OF FUR.
Missy was the one that would suck on my wife’s ear all night.
NOW, Chessie he's the biggest drooler with Mits not far behind.
Chessie sits on my wife and makes bread for 15 - 30 minutes; he's the momma’s boy. When he moves then Peak takes over.
Mits is my boy. When I’m in bed not paying attention he will tickle me with his whiskers on my cheek. If I still don't pay attention he will stick a very wet and cold nose in my ear. Guaranteed too wake me up.
Of course it hard to get out of bed in the morning. Mits under my arm, ET and Lenny along side and Princess at my feet. If I can get one foot down to the floor Lenny will move to block me at lest until Bart can get there. At 26 lb Bart is a really good blocker.
By the way Lenny is the 4:30 wake up alarm.
I would not have it any other way.

I think that is precious, Gini, but I'm sorry about the early wake up! I think I would have a heart attack if I ever found Butter anywhere near my head! :eek: He is famous for waking me up in the wee hours, but it is usually because he steps over me to drink my water, and usually steps on the radio and turns it on! :p Or he bangs on the blinds letting me know he wants to go outside.
