As you know from my post, Baby's mama is in a battered women's shelter but has found a place to live. She is moving in 10 days.

She has decided it is in his best interested that he be rehomed. Because she works 5 days straight as a live-in respite care giver, she will only be home for 2 days, which isn't fair to Baby.

Is there anyone in Connecticut that would be willing to adopt Baby?? He's a wonderful cat that gets along with other cats. Right now he is at my manager's house. Unfortunately she is allergic to him.

If you can adopt Baby, please PM me or email me a [email protected]. He's litterbox trained, needs shots (which I will take care of before going to a new home).

Oh goodness, Donna, I do hope that Baby can find a permanent home. Bless you for continuing to try.

Donna, was Baby's original thread in Cat General?

Just suggesting you update it there with this, or crosspost there.

Too bad you have no room, as you said he looks just like your RB Casey.

HUGS!

Candace,

I do have room. But I'm afraid that someone will pee like last time. I will crosspost just in case. Paula is absolutely devastated at the thtought of having to give up her cat. I'm going to call my friend at the Humane Society to see if they can take Baby. I'm confident that he'll find a home quickly.

This poor fellow. :(
I know you've said he looks like your Casey but I was wondering if you had any pics of Baby? Do you know if he's good with other cats?
Praying that someone is able to take this guy into their family. He's sure been through alot. I keep checking back to see if things have improved for him.

I'm loaning my camera to Johanna (who is fostering him) to take pictures of him. I also called my friend at the Humane Society and they have room for him. I'm confident he'll find a home quickly.

Donna I would love to take him, but as you know we are a bit full. We too are having a problem with missing the box. It seems that MITS is mad at me right now.
But keep us informed and we will see what we can do.

I was talking to Donna yesterday on the phone and she said that Baby has found an adoptive home. I forget where and who with, but Baby does have a loving home.

The adoptive home fell through.:( And since Johanna has been so gracious in keeping him despite her allergies, I'm taking him back to stay with me and posting his picture on Helping Paws website and Sabita's Rescue website in the hopes of find him a great home. The Humane Society doesn't have any space for him and will call me when they do. IF all goes well and there isn't any more peeing (My hunch is it was Mollie Rose with a URI), he'll stay here till he finds a great home. I really don't think any of my cats had issues with him cus he's so laid back and mellow. But, we'll see.

I just can't see him sitting in a cage while people pass him by. If all goes well and things work out, he'll be my Casey II. (6 cats, now I KNOW I'm outta my freaking mind!!)

If there is ANYONE here that can open their home to this beautiful boy, please let me know. Okay, now I'm groveling. I've been doing alot of that lately. *sigh*

Oh I'm so sorry that his adoption didn't work out. You're sure being put through the ringer, eh, Donna? One thing I've learned, especially where cat rescue is concerned, never say never. You may have your Casey II. :p

You may have your Casey II

It's beginning to look that way.

Sorry too hear about the adoption, but on the bright side you only have half the number we do. So I know that there is still plenty of room in your heart.
