O.k. I have done my share of fostering of several adult cats in my day. But I have come across 3 I guess you could say adult cats (they are very tiny) and 5 little ones that are I would guess 8 weeks old at my uncles house tonight just 3 full grown cats that were simply dropped off at his farm.

Well being my normal self was totally drawn to the mother. Cause she was so SMALL??? I could not believe that she had raised 5 little kittens on her body weight alone..... Anyway so of course being in rescue and knowing that she was soooo friendly I just knew that I had to find them a new (SAFE) place to live where they will be fed and far enough away from a road so they won't be hit by a car. So being my resourceful self and knowing that my uncle wasn't going to make sure that they were fed on a regular basis. I went a mission to my parents house to get food for the cat family. I brought the food back and the cats and kittens were growling and snarling only out of pure starvation!!!!:eek::eek::eek::eek:
So I decided that they needed to go to a home that was going to feed them and provide a safe place for them out of the elements. So I contacted a co-worker for whom wants a litter of kittens and their mother to live in his vacant barn mainly to remove the mice and he still feeds them on a regular basis. So with the nightmare of an evening due to the fact that my ignorate uncle didn't feed them!!! Sounds like its all going to work out to be a better situation than it looked like when I stopped by their house earlier in the evening. I almost took them all to my home but my husband said no way. Not with the issues that we are currently having with our little Chloe. So since I fed them they should all be fine till morning. We are going up to get them when we get up and take them to their safe "house" where I know they will be taken care of and fed....
I just have to honestly add what in the heck goes through peoples minds that makes it o.k. to just dump off a bunch of cats at farm and think that they will be able to survive off the immediate surroundings just because its a farm?
Nothing makes me more angry:mad::mad: All I know is they will be going to a much safer place where they have a place to live and food for them to eat on a daily basis my uncle thinks that a cat should be able to provide for itself if it lives on a farm by hunting for its own food.....STUPID! Well that might work if the cat wasn't raised by humans and fed a meal everyday and then dropped off at some strangers house??? ...I just need to vent and you guys are a great group for listening..... this horrible mess is going to be taken care of first thing in the morning I just can't get this sweet innocent cat family out of my head!!! SO SO CUTE!

People who do things like that don't think; they just don't care. They want the kittens out of sight because to them, "out of sight, out of mind." Thank goodness for people like you and our PT friends.

Thank you for taking on the responsibility of other people. People- they can be so cruel and ignorant sometimes. These babies deserve better than that.

Thank you again for helping them!

Ok after thinking about this situation for a while....I realized the reason why I am so drawn to the mother kitty is because she shows a remarkable similarity to Paris's mother. I really wish I could take her and give her a good home.....So I am going to work on the husband talk to my co-worker and see once we rehome her at his place that maybe I can take mama after I know the babies will be old enough to be able to survive on their own...... She is a total sweet heart. She just melts my heart. I don't know everyone I am going to need some big prayers I really don't think my husband is going to allow a 5th cat.....
And I really don't know if there is a city ordinacy as to how many you can have without getting into trouble???I should check into that I might be over the limit now? But I don't care they are not let outside they are indoor kitties and no one needs to know;)

Bless your heart for taking in the mama and babies. Like Mary (Medusa) said, people DON'T think. They just want the responsibility to be gone from them so their consciences can be clear. It makes me sick.

Now, because of the horrible housing market and the market in general, people can no longer afford to care for their pets. I've been getting calls like, "Yeah, uh, I need to get rid of my cat." And that's my problem WHY???

I blame Bush for this entire mess and can't wait for that idiot to get outta Dodge.:mad:

I also blame our illustrious Governor Rell for sitting on a PILE of what she calls "Rainy Day Money". Hellloooooooo!!! There's a monsoon here, DO SOMETHING!!!

Thanks for letting me rant. I'm just sick of stupid, irresponsible pet owners that toss them out like they are yesterday's trash.

AND THIS PUTS A STRAIN ON THE ENVIROMENT AS THESE POOR CATS AND DOGS ARE GOING TO DO WHAT THEY CAN TO SURVIVE, AND THATS SADLY KILLING THE BIRDS AND SMALL ANIMALS.
I KNOW THAT NOT FAR FROM WHERE I LIVE, PEOPLE LET DOGS:mad: LOOSE AND THEY FORM PACKS , AS IS THIER NATURE AND ARE DANGEROUS.
THIS IS A GENERATION THAT HAS NO SENSE OF RESPONSIBILITY, AND ITS A THROW AWAY WORLD, BUT DAMN IT THESE ARE LIVING CREATURES OF GOD, NOT TOYS.:mad:

I am so thankful that God sent you to save those precious little lives! Like everyone else here, this is something that I personally hear all too frequently. Especially where I live, in a farming community. I can relate to your wanting the momma and afraid of what your husband will say. I remember when I only had 1 cat that I adopted from a shelter. I stopped one evening at a gas station and they had found this tiny kitten under a Pepsi machine. She was starving to death and covered in fleas. They asked me if I wanted a kitten and I told them that my husband would kill me it I brought another cat home. Well.... she went home with me and is now a gorgeous, long haired Calico that is my heart kitty. That was 9 years ago. During the last 3 years 15 more have joined her!! Yes, I am still married;) What are we supposed to do when no one wants them?! Here, cats are just barn cats.

Yeah barn cats is what they call them here also I just fear their safety cause being my uncle looks at them as such that they will die of starvation or worse being hit by a car. So I have got them going to a farm where they feed them and they have a great big barn where they can play and be kittens and be safe also. My co-worker just called me and was so happy to be getting this family he even thanked me for thinking about them in this sort of situation......Plus this way it gives me another week to sweet talk my husband. He is a softy too! He just worries cause our Chloe has stress issues and that is his little pumkin seed and he worries about her. That is all he was soooooo happy that I helped this kitties....:D:D:D He loves our (Kids) that is what we call em';) He just worries about his little girl.....

I grew up not on a farm, but in a convenient spot that people from the nearby city must have thought of as "country." We'd get a cat or two dumped off in our neighborhood every year, usually one that had been a "cute kitten" in the spring, but was now in that gawky stage ... The poor things had NO clue how to survive or hunt ... we had one on our porch (I'm terribly allergic) for much of a summer one year until he got catnapped. He was best friends with our dog, had a milk crate with a (flea-powder covered) old Army blanket in it, and when he finally managed to meow, it sounded like the cellar door squeak.

People don't think.
