Damion passed away yesterday. He had been fine the day before very hyper, fast, always on the go...just like he had always been then yesterday I decided to go up to my room to see who was up and I immeadiatly went to Damion's cages and I saw him on the floor next to his igloo. I thought he had already passed on but then I saw his paws move a little so for an hour or two I held him and kept him warm then he started to breath much more slowly and it seemed like he had stopped and I could feel the life draining out of him.

I had Damion for nearly two years. I got him on October 30, 2006. Dash had passed away about a week earlier and I had decided that I wasn't going to get another hamster right away but when I went to petsmart to spend a $20 gift card petsmart randomly sent me (still don't know why) and I seen this cute little hamster running around then stopping in the centre of his tank and watching me. After a good while of this I finally decided to get him. I am so glad that I did because he was such a great hamster. He had escaped from his run-around-ball once when he was much younger and a month or so ago I found him behind Yve and Noël's tank before I even noticed him missing from his cage. :rolleyes:

He was always hyper, always on the go and always fast. He loved yogurt drops to. Damion was nearly two years old. He was getting old but he went downhill sooo quickly. :'(

Never had a hamster....two is old? Sorry that he's gone, just didn't think they died "old" at 2 yrs, for some reason I thought they were long lived cause they are so small.

So sorry to hear about your precious Damion. :( He was definitely a handesome little guy. You gave him unconditional love and happiness for two years, and I`m sure he appreciates all that you did for him. We all know what it`s like to fall in love with a sweet, adorable little face at the pet store, shelter, etc. Rest in peace, angel Damion. :love:

Hamsters live for 2-3 years they don't live long not many small animals do. Two years old is plenty old. I wish they lived longer but they don't.

Awe, I'm sorry to see this.
Damion was such an adorable little guy.. especially with his cheeks stuffed. Hehe.
Is the last picture a more recent one? His age seemed to be showing, but he was just as cute as ever. :)
He lived a long, great life.

Yes that picture was taken the day before he died. He had been so hyper and excited. <3
