Presa Canario (http://www.dogocanario.org/darkforce/info.htm)

After reading the history on this breed, I would recommend contacting more than one "reference".

Very strong, aggressive dog. Requires someone who has experience in handling and extensive large dog handling, not for the average pet owner.

Very high liability in anyone's home. A very popular dog amongst criminals due to their natural aggressiveness.

Yes they will turn on the owner if not properly controlled.

Unfortunately, this is one of those wonderful breeds that looks as intimidating as it can be, and usually trained for fighting and criminal intentions.

interesting looking breed, I wonder why they would kill their owner.

The 2 presa canarios in question didn't kill their owner. They killed the neighbor.

thanks for the replies and the links too...sigh...it's sad to see how owners r irresponsible in bringing up their dogs the right way...n how the dogs get the blame and suffer the consequences instead...
