Oh gosh! :o Tommy (and I) say thank you!
All the black cats in that particular feral colony have this look. (I would say about 18 cats in all) The hair sometimes looks deep brown, in certain lighting. The black - and - white cats in the colony (maybe 5 or 6 cats in all) have a completely different look about them.
