Fenway & I are pretty sad today. My sister's dog, Sabbie, a 14 year old black Lab, was euthanized last night. His body gave out. They found a mass in his tummy and he was no longer able to use his back legs. My sister and bil decided to say goodbye to him last night.

I saw him on Sunday and I had this feeling it was going to be the last time. He was not doing well then. I said my goodbyes and rubbed his head and gave him a little kiss.

Goodbye Sabbie. You were a very good dog. When Fenway was a puppy, you taught him how to bark at folks walking by the house. He now barks and alerts me to strangers, and for that I thank you. You also taught him that it's not okay to refuse a free hot dog.

I'm not sure what Fenway will do when we go to your house. Will he look for you? Will he sniff around and wonder where you are?

You are now with your brother Benson, looking down and protecting your family.

We will miss you Sabbie. :(

I am so sorry. Fenway was lucky to have a cousin that taught him all the best things about being a dog. RIP Sabbie, you are loved and will be missed.
