~Pet Talk Gift Swap Summer 2008 - SIGNUP DEADLINE EXTENDED - August 9th

Rules/Concerns

Most importantly...HAVE FUN! Please, lets make this an enjoyable gift swap for everyone! :)

You must be an active member for atleast 6 months & over the age of 18. If you are under the age of 18, you may be able to participate as long as Karen receives telephone call from your parents/guardian - for more information on that, please PM Kay (Kfamr) or I.

If you have been late or irresponsible with previous swaps, you may not participate. If you think this may include you, please PM either myself or Kfamr. If you fail to send a package then you will not be allowed to participate in any further swaps held by Kay & I.

Do NOT sign up unless you FULLY plan to send the items, no matter what person you receive.
Also, please be aware of the costs included in buying the gifts and also mailing them, possibly to another country.

The minimum cost for gifts is $20. There is no maximum amount.
The swap is intended for the pets and small gifts for the humans are well-appreciated. You do not have to buy an idividual gift for each pet. Certain pets can share gifts (Dogs with dogs, cats with cats...etc..) but please try and get atleast 1 gift for each type of pet listed in their questionnaire.

We also ask that you agree to insure or atleast send your gift by something other than regular mail service. Something with the option to track the package is desired. This way nothing gets lost while being sent to your reciever. If you choose not to do so, you must take full responsibility to send your receiver another package if in the case it gets lost.

PLEASE DO NOT SIGN UP if you plan to move/change addresses within the timeframe of the swap. If you are unsure of your current residence do not sign up. There will be future swaps.

I have my gifts bought!!

A coworker & I ran through a large mall looking for the 1 item I wanted to buy my swapper. We spent 1.5hrs running in & out of stores to find this item. I couldn't believe how hard it was to find! Then when we came to the last of the stores we found it!!! It was nearly 3 times the price I was expecting to pay for that kind of item, but it was a near perfect match, so I couldn't resist :D :eek:

I'm in the same boat. I wasn't expecting to leave at 9am on sat to go out for the day, I thought we were leaving at noon, which would have given me an hour to mail the parcel... Sun is a HECK NO I'm not mailing it.. it just sits in the postal outlet & its too easy for sticky fingers! (worked in the PO for 3.5yrs, so I know about the evil sticky fingers!!).

The guy said they like to get a hold of the receipent before trying again. I then asked if something happens & I am not reached on my final attemp will they send it back. They said NO. It'll then go to the depot where I can pick it up. I just don't want to drive there to get it cause I dislike driving near the airport during rush hour. But if all else fails I will drive there on monday.. SO no worries, it will arrive :D

The vet (& many that meet her) thinks she is a Collie mix as her skull is narrow & not round like a BC's. She might have BC in her somewhere as she is a farm dog.

But I still ha no idea what breed would cause her to have hair point up from the insides of her toes & have Horizontal elbow hair LOL

Could be, but the tail is all wrong, no horizontal elbow hair, no long toe hairs pointing up & no crazy long ear & butt hair lol The head is a lot closer to that dogs head though :)

You could be right. A lot of people have thought that, but the vet believed she would get to about 40lbs when she first saw her, but poor Digi was so ill the vet believes her growth was stunted greatly...

I let Oscar pig out on the treats, because it was prezzie day! I picked up the treat bags, and put them on the dining room table. Totally forgot about them until I heard, and then SAW, the SnoutMeister on the table into the Greenies! I took them away, but made sure Cole got a share, and they each got a couple of the Gourmet Kitty treats...they LOVED those! I can hardly wait to try the organic treats...

They are - and now I have three - an ugly brown one that Shaw's market gave me in exchange for a coupon, a much prettier one Stop and Shop gave me, same deal, which is a very bright green, and the red Canada one! Now as long as I remember to bring them with me, it'll be fine!

Leo has been a good bunny, and watched TV with me last night as a good lap bunny!
