I think if we hadn't already, we've definitely hit the points of hysteria now.

What about halitosis, athlete's foot and prickly heat?

To be honest I never bought into the "global warming" hype in the first place... not that I don't think we should be more environmental-conscious but... really? This is a bit over the top!!

Yeah... I saw this earlier on Yahoo news. I just rolled my eyes and moved on.

You can find a correlation between any two things if you try hard enough.

Sorry sorry sorry, I'm a Bay-Area-hippie-liberal-eco-nut, so this may just be my eccentricity, but global warming (or "climate change", for the PC) isn't a hype. It is fact that has turned into hype by the media and consumerism. Greenwashing, anyone? The problem itself, our ailing world, is very real and very true. There may be hype, but the hype is based on a very real problem and is perhaps a rather good thing...

Now that I'm done with my mini rant, I do have to say that the article is ridiculous. There are so many more climate change things to write about. I guess they got tired of blaming genetics. :p

As I said, I believe we should all be more eco-friendly or eco-conscious, but this global warming stuff has really been blown out of proportion in my opinion and now it seems that the media and/or government is using it more as a "scare" tactic and veering focus away from the "real" problems.

However, in reference to the article -- learned in psychology that two items may have a correlation to each other (one goes up, the other goes up), but it does NOT mean that one is a cause of the other, it's just coincidence. This seems very plausible, however far fetched. lol.

I am not a Bay-Area-hippie-liberal-eco-nut. But I do think that global warming is for real. And I agree this article is stupid.

Great! I've got a cast iron excuse for everything stupid or wrong that I do. "Don't blame me, it's global warming"

Yes Yes Yes totally agree :D Wonder if we had the same psych professor - "Correlation does NOT mean causation." Meaning just because two things are correlated does not mean that one causes the other.
