First Horse Show

[Vela]

First horse show for both Jake and myself. I've trained him myself from a pasture pet. We took two seconds and a third against profesionally trained horses, so I was pretty dang proud of him. Here are some pics of my sweet boy.

Just want to congratulate you and Jake again! I know how proud you are of your boy and you have every reason to be. From being a part of the "headless horseman" team at halloween to a buffalo roundup to a trail horse and now in the ring with horses whose careers are showing, you couldn't ask for more! I'm working on resizing your video.

I'm still working on all of my pictures from the races too but I'd be too afraid to post them here :p.

The horse show was at the Equestrian Park around the corner from my house, it's a very large arena. I don't know if I'll ever show Gent, I'm not sure he can take it mentally, he's more fragile than Jake when it comes to new things like that, but we will see. If I do it won't be until at least next year. I will do what makes Gent happy, so far that's just riding out on the trails, but we will see!
