If I had to approach the beautiful and mysterious Lily 1000 times, only to get hissed at and driven back each time, it would be worth it if, on the 1001st, she finally agreed to lay belly down upon my lap, her face towards mine, front paws forward, and then to allow me to stroke her electric fur as I gazed into those magic eyes of her's.

I am certain such a gaze would transport my mind back to ancient Egypt, where I would see thousands of revered cats strolling up and down the pyramids as ducks flew by in "V" shaped bands, on their travels to and from the Nile River.
