Subject: NEGAS: Blind senior cat - rescued from house fire

A man and his wife were just in a devastating house fire. The man is recovering, but his wife perished. Their 10 year old TOTALY BLIND yellow tabby cat was saved by the firefighters and brought back to life by a miracle. At this moment, the cat (who is underweight and needs a lot of TC) is living in a small crate at the man's sister's house. The sister says he is very sweet and wonderful, but she cannot keep him.

The sister will be relinquishing the cat to animal control tomorrow (Thursday) so he needs a home asap.

Post from the moderator there:

I just got off the phone with the shelter. The tabby has not been taken there yet and they have already had a call from someone who is interested in taking him. I will keep in touch and keep you all posted.

Prayers a-flyin'!

Prayers to GA that he doesn't go to the shelter, or has his forever sweet home waiting for him!

Prayers coming from Connecticut. Such a sweet cat deserves a loving home.

Shelter closes at 4:00 p.m. Called again, just now. He has not been brought in yet. I was told that if he is, they will try to find a home for him and that they normally give them three weeks. I hope this means that the sister found a home herself or even decided to keep him...fingers and toes all crossed.
