Sadly, it had something wrong with it and although I tried I wasn't able to do anything to help. :(

Those sunset pics are fabulous!!! Why was the sky so red? Did you have a windy day next morning??
That moth is so beautiful!! Here all moths have a gray colour

Thanks for the lovely comments. :D
Lut, the next day was a beautiful one bringing truth to the old saying "Red sky at night, shepherds delight".
Randi, Lut too, I'd never seen a coloured moth before and thought it was a small butterfly, it was only when I searched for identification that I found out exactly what it was. Maybe a lot more of the insects I think are butterflies are really moths. :D
Cinnabar moths are day-flying insects. Like many other brightly coloured moths, it is unpalatable; The larvae absorb the bitter tasting to the alkaloid substances from all the ragworts including groundsel which it feeds on, and assimilate them, becoming unpalatable themselves[1]. The bright colours of both the larvae and the moths act as a warning sign so that they are seldom eaten by predators.

What a beautiful sunset, thats one thing i am going to miss about Summer ;).
Chris, what beautiful pictures. I don't think I have ever seen a moth like that either. Interesting that their color means they don't taste very good!
