I had the front door open today and Amy wobbled over to sit there. I pushed a chair up to the door and put her in it so she could look out and she really enjoyed herself looking outside.. She dosen't climb anymore so she hardly gets to see the view from any of the windows.. Look at this SWEET, SWEET little face!

The view she got to see

Every now and then, one of these will run across the door, sometimes back and forth and it drives the cats NUTS!! Giz has dove at the door a number of times trying to catch one... BAM! These lizzards are our friend, they eat the bugs and misquito's.

Giz enjoying one of the kitty sofa's tonight..

Ok, can't mention Giz without telling her latest antic.. I caught her the other day curled up on top of the iRobot and shoo'ed her off of it. This evening she snuck back on it and stepped on it exactly right and cut it ON!! You should have seen the surprise on her face when it started making it's noise and moving... She went SCAT faster than I ever saw her move! I like to have died laughing..

See, just right for a cat to curl up on and take a nap..... IF you avoid the "clean" button in the center of it!

Amy is lovely! How old is she? She must LOVE lizard watching! How cool!

That vacuum robot is a perfect size for Giz! It would sure be funny if she somehow got used to the moving vacuum and rode it around your house! LOL:)

Awwwwwwww Amy, you had a great view there !!
What a big lizard!!! We don't have lizards here, I think it is to cold & wet here. I 've seen them in the south of France!!

Is that round thingie a vaccuumer? And it works on its own??? Wow! I want one to!!

Cute pictures. Amy looks so content looking out the window! Those lizards are lucky they don't live near Bean...I think he would "like" lizards :) :(. That iRobot is too cool. I bet it starting to move taught Giz to stay off it more than you could ever do :)

Yes Lut, that is a vaccume and it does a great job of getting the cat hair up. They have them that are programable and you can set to run at night while you are alseep or at work. I didn't think to check to see if this one had that when I got it, it doesn't.. but it runs, when it is done, it takes itself back to the docking station.... or when it gets bogged down with the cat hair, it stops and tells you it needs cleaning. It goes on carpet, wood, whatever floor type you have with no problem. It isn't that loud and it don't terrify the kitties like the big one does and they will follow it all over the house, watching it from a disiance.

It was just so funny when Giz got on it and turned it on.. I am hoping it taught her to stay off of it but time will tell.. (I never have a camera in my hand when something like that happens!)

Emeraldgreen- Amy is going on 5 years old, she will be 5 this year.

Does that vacuum cleaner work w/lots of cat hair? My Specs can just walk into a room and you can see the hair fly. Daily brushing doesn't seem to help. I have to vacuum and dust every flippin' day. I've thought about getting one and running it nightly.

I love seeing Amy sitting in the chair looking outside! Just like the rest of us, you cater to them and spoil them, each according to her/his own needs. Is she able to get down off the chair herself? Or does she need help?

My cats would really make me crazy if they didn't have all their perches to sit and watch outside. Flies to squirrels to cars and people on the street, they take it all in, keeping tabs on who and what is using their street.

I realized during the winter that my dogs don't get to see out unless they ARE out; or the times I lift them up onto my bed. Must get boring! Lacey is the only one who jumps up to the back of the love seat and sits watching the back yard. It is funny to see her up there with a cat or two.

Giz, Oh Giz, whatever will you do next to keep mom (and all of us!) entertained?

Amy dear! What wonderful things to see - breeze moving the leaves, maybe a bird or two, and a lizard or 10!

Laura, you said she can't climb any more - but is the medication still helping her arthritis pain? She does look comfortable. :)

What a sweet face!

Medusa- I have 4 cats in a 840sq.ft. house so I have cat hair galore.. It does get it and I find if I don't run it every day, it has to be cleaned before completing the job. Boo has that thick soft fur and all she has to do is walk and she leaves a trail of fur.. Not the clumps like she use to since she will let me brush her now...

Freedom- She can jump down by herself although sometimes it is a hard landing that scares me but she will not wait for me to help her down.

Catty1- She can climb up on my bed but I have it sat on the floor (not on a frame) just so she can. She sometimes plays the pitiful "I can't do it, help me" and I will pick her up and put her on the bed, other times she is up there and I don't even know it until I feel her shaking. She also can get on the sofa but there are only several places she will climb on, places she has proven to herself that she can do it but not on anything that might move or tumble over with her..

The cosequin has helped her a lot as far as feeling a lot better but it don't make it any easier for her to get around. Because she feels better, she moves around a lot more but all the signs of her CH are still there and she still has days where she don't hardly move any. Hummmm... come to think of it, she don't posture when she falls over everytime like she use to...

Amy's face looks so healthy and happy.happier than in the old days.
maybe because she never has to leave the house anymore when you go to work.
what a great thing you did for them finding a way to be able to keep them home.
they all love their home so much.

I loved seeing the lizard run up the window.
when my older brother was in the marines we went to his home on vieques island (off peurto rico)and their were lizards all over his house...i don't even think their were windows though.i was only a teenager but i loved it...and loved the lizards running around.i thought it was great.
this is the first time since then i've seen one in a house that isn't a pet.
keeping your house clean of unwanted bugs:)

my cat penny (all white sister of lucy)eats any bugs that may appear in our home.she is really good at it.all the other cats just watch them:rolleyes:

Hi Amy! That's a wonderful view you have from your window plus you get to see real lizards sometimes. We don't have lizards here in Trenton, only birds, squirrels and various assorted creepy crawlies.

Hi Giz! You are quite a character always finding fun new things to try. That must have been quite a surprise when the robot vacuum flipped on. Do you plan on taking it for a test drive?

Scritchies and lovies to all!!!
