Here is my sick little guy the first night. :(

He was so weak that he couldn't even roll himself over.

Late yesterday after some fluids and oral glucose, he began to move around a bit. Here he is peeking over his bed at me.

Now if I can just get his appetite back. I'm still forcing KMR on him. I think I'm going to try the chicken (human) baby food.

Oh my, what a cute little guy!!! He sure tugs at the heartstrings. I was just reading about him and what he's been going through (you too). I sure hope he continues to improve.

I think Trooper is the perfect name for him. That is what I first called Moxie after finding her stuck outside in the bush but then after a couple of days of getting to know her I changed it to Trouble and then settled on Moxie when I realized she was a girl. Richard says Trouble fits her better!

Oh my goodness, what a little fuzz nugget! The pic of him looking out over his blanket is just too sweet! We're keeping up the positive prayers that Trooper will pull through and grow up to be a big strong guy! Thank you again for taking such good care of him.

Trooper is very limp and lifeless again and can't even hold his head up. I have put him back with his mommy so that he can pass away with the warmth of her fur and the sound of her heart. I will update when he passes. Thank you for your prayers.:(

Trooper is gone. It was extremely painful to watch. I held him as he cried out for release. Mom licked him and talked back to him when he cried and finally I could tell she was at a loss of what to do so I took him out and held him. I've seen other kitties pass but watching one that fought so long and hard and it took so long for him to actually pass, is something that I will never forget or completely get over. It's times like these that I wish I had some quick way of helping him along instead of watching him wince and struggle for breath.:(:(:(

Thank you to all who prayed. He is Heaven's newest little whiskered angel now. Thank you, Lord for letting me love this little guy if only for a while.

I am so sorry. I have been through exactly what you went through. My mom and I were up in the wee hours of the morning crying over a teeny kitten as it went to the bridge. It is something you NEVER forget. But you must find peace in the fact that he is pain free now and playing with all the other kittens (including the one my mom and I handled) up at the bridge.

I am so sorry...you did everything you humanly could do. We all know this pain is the downside to the love we give our animals but we all do it anyway because the good outweighs the bad...but it still sucks everytime!

I was just devastated when I seen Troopers name in memorial. If only prayers and love could have brought him through he would be still here.

You did everything you could for him Kim and more. He wasn't meant for this cruel world but he knew love and kindness in his short time. You truly are a godsend to these babies and their momma's. I don't think I could do it. I wouldn't have a heart left. You are stronger than many and you do everything to help. You are a very special lady. Thank you for caring for little Trooper and all the others you have cared for over the years.

Thank you all so very much for your kindness and caring words. Little Trooper made such a mark on my heart and he will always be inside of me. I had made a couple of videos of him when he seemed to be improving but I don't think I can watch them for a while now. My vet had said that there might be something congenital that wasn't formed or functioning properly inside his little body, so I am accepting that as to the "why". It will never be easy to accept the passing of any of my kitties but especially the little tiny ones who have only begun to live. :(

Karen said something to me that really made me look at things differently and gave me a peaceful and hopeful feeling. She said that maybe little Trooper was meant to become the beloved pet of a child in Heaven who had always wanted a kitten on Earth. I have to believe that our loving Lord would most certainly do just such a thing!

Thank you, Karen for speaking to my mind, eyes and heart so that I could see more Faithfully!
