Poor Owdie. Yesterday i was cleaning out the hamster cage and i found a bone... attached to a ball of hamster fur. I think Opel ate Owdie... I dont understand why though. Although there wasnt food in the food bowl i found quite alot in their nest. I can only suppose they had a fight...
I buried Owdie in the garden. Although ive only had him only about 8 months im gonna miss him. Hope hes in a happy place...
Heres to another hamster joining his buddies (my brothers hamsters) Squeak and nibble.

I am terribly sorry about your hammies death

But it may not have been a cruel thing. Owdie may have passed away form naturla causes or illness or something else and then from instinct Opel ate him. In the wild when a hamster dies the others eat it so that predetors are not attracted. Not all domestic hamsters do this but some do. It happens in gerbils, mice, even rats and some other small animals.

Again I am sorry to hear.

I'm so sorry to hear about your hamster. :( I know some types of hamsters can live together, happily, but for the most part, they should be seperated.
