I really enjoy TV that has nothing to do with sitcoms, dancing, singing or being voted the top model on the planet.

I came across this program/series a few weeks ago. I watched the first episode and was hooked immediately.

The host of the show has to travel from New York to Lost Angeles-on the kindness of strangers and 5 dollars a day. He cannot accept any monetary help, he has to find food and lodging for the whole trip.He does have 5 'emergency' envelopes that can be traded for money, a train ticket, food, a tent and another that has "mystery help" inside. If he does not spend his 5 dollars that day, they are taken away by the camera team following him....to be replaced by a new 5 dollar bill the next day!

It's a neat program that shows there are some really great people in the U.S.,
It balances out the jerks that make all the news.

Check it out!

I love that show! Fox Reality had a marathon of it last year. I feel bad for him when they're in a restsaurant and the producer is having a big meal while he has to sit and watch.

Uh, I do believe this is an older one. It's not like the ones they have now. And, it's a good one. Don't ruin the fun for the rest of us.

Hmmmm,
I don't remember if he was threatened with being voted off the continent.;)

It's more a documentary, not game show or contest for prizes or money.

It is fun and a little bit of a mirror as to who the people in the United States are.

I've never seen it but it looks like a great show. It reminds me of a show that was on the Travel Channel a while ago where a man was dropped down somewhere unknown to him and he had to figure out where he was and stay there a few days.

So you are agreeing with Richard then.
