About a year after we bought our house, my husband and I adopted a little black cat named Samantha....very dainty little thing she was, about 2 years old. Time passed and a few years later the rest of our cats decided to pick on Sam to the point that we had to put her on nerve medication. My best friend, who had been wanting to get a cat said she would be happy to "rescue" Sam from her kitty brothers....and Carol bought a house so that she could adopt Sam (her landlord at the time was saying no pets, so fine, she bought a house) and life was good. Until this week...Carol noticed that Sam was a bit sniffly so she took her to the vet Monday. She found out that Sam was dehydrated and that her kidneys were shutting down. The vet kept her overnight and sent her home yesterday feeling that she had in fact improved. Carol took today off to be at home with her and heard Sam cry. The vet thinks that she threw a blood clot that affected her spine and paralyzed her back legs. They gave her 12-24 hours to survive...Carol made that decision that none of us ever want to have to make...she was about 15 and spent the last years being a definitely spoiled rotten housecat....I hope that Kunan met you at the bridge to show you the way little one...play hard and don't let him bully you....

How good that you were able to find a good home for Samantha, and that she had many years of being "spoiled " and loved. Sleep softly, sweet, Sam...

Dear Samantha {{{hugs}}} how wonderful that you had a safe home to be loved, and be an only cat.

Carol - remember that you gave Sam a great home and lots of love...and got her to the vet initially, and then gave her the dignity of a peaceful passing.

Samantha - purr in your mom's ear and let her know you are all right.

Sweet Samantha came from a good home (yours) and went to a good home, thanx to you. Now she's resting and, after a good stretch, she'll play w/out fear of being bullied and she'll wait to greet you at the Bridge one day. RIP, sweet Sam.

And Samantha Will Have Two Sets Of Guardians To See When She Meets You, Her Original Guardians And Her Guardians Who Had Her For So Many Years.
That Will Be So Wonderful As She Will Be Able To Share Her Love Twice As Miuch When You All Meet Again.
One Fine Day.
