How old are your cats?

I'm just curious if there are mostly kittens and one year old kitties here or if there are a few older cats like mine. My cat Sam is 14 years old. I think there are a few other teen kitties here too. So please tell me how old are your cats?:)

Yes, I have some teenagers in my family of fur balls:) My oldest is Shoe-shoo and she is 15 this past July. I also have Snuggles who is 14 this past July. They are mother and son.
They are both very active and Shoe-shoo is my talker of my bunch of 6 babies. I also have Abraham(Abe for short who was 11 last January. My other three are young yet.
I think that with good Vet care they are staying healthy and active longer and will be with us for many years. I had a 17 year old cat Duffy that I lost last December. That was the oldest I've ever had a cat live. I have had several cats through year.

My cat has been very healthy too, she's only been to the vet to be spayed as a kitten then for yearly shots after that. The only health problems she has had are the occasional hairball and a little extra weight which we changed her diet for.

Do you have any photos of your cats? I would love to see them. I hope to get some more photos of my cat on here soon.

No, I don't have a scanner or a camera to post the pictures of them. My Abe is black and white and his markings are real close to Sam's markings. In fact when I saw your picture I thought Sam was so pretty! He and my Abe could be brothers they look so much alike. Shoe-shoo is a Calico and Snuggles is yellow and white. I hope to in the future be able to post their pictures. I enjoy seeing all the beautiful babies on pet talk. I some times just get on to see the pictures.

Actually my cat Sam is a girl - Samantha, we call her Sam or Sammy for short. You should check out a thread under Cat Breeds called Black and White Cats that I did a few weeks ago when I started here. I posted one photo of my cat there and you can see lots of others too.:)

I like to see all the kittens pictures here too since its been such a long time since my cat was a kitten and she's my only one.

Thanks for the tip on black and white cats. I will go to that thread and see all of those sweet ones. I have always liked black and white cats. Many years ago I had two black and white one around the time that the Happy Days show was on T V. I named my two balck and white cats Fonzie and Potsey after the two characters on that show. I just notice I spelled black wrong up above here.
Out of my six, three are strays I took in. Abe came from my brothers cat.

Jackson is a few months over 12 years.
Rosie is almost 3 years.
Twidgit is a little over 16 months.
Ashton is about 13 months.
Livvy (our foster) I am not sure, but I would guess about 2 years. :confused:

We're not sure since they're from the animal rescue group, but we guess they were about 3 when we got them almost 2 years ago.

When I brought Marius into my home, the Vet's best guess on his age was about 1.5 years at the time...so that would make him 5 going on 6 years.

Scooter will be 6 next month...so our two boys are very close in age!;)

Does anyone else want their cats counted? So far we have 48 cats with 38 of them age 6 or younger and 13 of them are between the ages of 1 and 2! So far Basil is the youngest at 3 months and Tubby is the oldest at 16 years. If a couple more people answer I will show all the totals.:)

I had no idea Emma and Louise were that old - not that 1 is old, but I thought they were maybe 8 or 9 months or so. My how time flies. :)

And I believe someone here, at one time or another, mentioned that they have a 17 year old. Don't remember who it is, but I don't know if Tubby would make a good patriarch. I don't think he would set a very good example for all the youngsters out there. ;) :D

Don't know if this was what you remember as the 17 year old (Tubby and Peanut's mom) but I had a 17 year old male named Duffy that passed away last December. His birthday was May so he was a little older than 17 but he has went to the Rainbow Bridge and I still miss him:( my next oldest cat is my Shoe-shoo at age 15. Your cat Tubby at 16 in the oldest so far:)

Congradualtions on your 100th post!!!! Thats alot of cats! My friend lives on a farm and had 102 cats that lived in her barn. I twas fun going over there and seeing all these cat come running out of the barn when you opened the door LOL.

Bagel is 6 years old - Birthday 27th July 1996
Ketchum is 6 too - Birthday 27th July 1996
Yep brother and sister
Dan is also 6 - Birthday 1st January 1996

So he's just 6 months older.

My cat Maya , is about 7 months old now ; We are not completely sure , as she was found , brought to a shelter and rescued by us !
MyRB-Cat that died in July , was 23 months old...(Young !!!) .

A very specail thanks for the Honorable Mention of my sweet Duffy age 17 who passed to Rainbow bridge last Dec. He was a very dear boy. I know he is having a wonderful time running and playing waiting for me, as the Rainbow piece says. He was blind before he left us and now I'm sure he can see all the wonderful things in his Kitty heaven.

I suspect Livvy is definately older than the 9 months Laura was told when she took her in, but honestly, from the condition of her teeth, I really think she's probably 5 or so. I could be wrong because Laura was told the cat was fed canned and dry food.

It's hard to believe Jackson is so old. He and Ashton were romping through the house just a few minutes ago.
