Oh how sad--I have tears in my eyes about your sweet Tabby! What a nice Memorial Dedication you put up for your baby, who you truly will be reunited with "at the rainbow's end." I do believe that! We had to put my childhood dog to sleep at 18 for cancer, which like you, was the hardest thing I've EVER done. Then we lost a precious six year old cat a few years ago who was born with a heart disease, so I do know the heartache you feel! I'm glad you had all the years you did with your angel baby who brought you so much love! I know it will always be a bittersweet memory, but I hope you're okay seeing his picture posted today as our Cat of the Day Remembrance! Thanks for sharing the story of Tabby's love and for showing us his beautiful photo. I see alot of love in his eyes and I'm sure he's smiling down on you right now! Love, FelineFriend

You made life for your precious Tabby so full of love and contentment, that his time here was a good life for this special furrbaby...They do take chunks of our hearts with them when they leave us, but the happiness you give them while they are in your care is what matters! Bless you for loving him so much.

There is a poem on our Rainbow Bridge page that I'd like to share with you (called "I Remember") - at the bottom of the page...There are also photos of many of babies who have crossed over Rainbow Bridge. I'd be honored to add your Tabby's photo. The poem will probably bring tears, but I hope it will also bring comfort. Tabby will remain with you in many, many ways.

Losing a precious animal is so hard but having to make the decision to let them go just tears your heart out. I've been there too. Tabby was a beautiful cat and I firmly believe you will be together again.

Beautiful story. It is good that you and Tabby found each other, and that Tabby had 14 years of happiness and of being loved on this earth.

What a beautiful tribute to your heart kitty, your Cat of a Lifetime, your preciousTabby. It was hard not to cry as I read of the deep, unconditional bond of love you and Tabby shared those many years. No kitty was ever more loved and cherished than your sweet boy. And I too believe, truly believe, that you and your beautiful Tabby will, one day in the distant future, be together again. I think that Tabby is looking down upon us all right now and purrrring with pride at his Mom's loving words. You always knew what a special kitty he was; and today so many others from all over the world know that too. Thank you for sharing him with us all. It was an honor to meet you and your beloved Tabby...Cat of the Day and Cat of a Lifetime. Bless you sweet boy. Love, Sandra, Mr. B and Oliver

My heart went out to you so much as I read your post. It's hard to accept that at 14 years of age, so short in human time, he really had a good life. It was the ultimate act of kindness that you let go of him, and set him free to go to Rainbow Bridge. Thank you for sharing his story with us - I know that you two had great times together. Remember those and you will heal.
