hey we got a baby conure months back..he's just recently started eating birdfood...is there any way you can tell if charley is a boy or a girl???? like you know how you can tell sometimes by their behaviours or like by their colors with cockatiels i know...thanks to anyone who replies ;)

As for sexing it can be very hard as both sexes can act the same.

What breed of conure is he?

You could try checking the pelvic bones,

If they are wide apart it could be a female but if their close it could be a male.

Hey Argranade, I don't really know that much about the pelvic bone..charley is a jenday conure. I think I sent a picture of him back when he was like really young we had just gotten him;I will try and find it and send it and when ever we get our scanner so i can scan more pictures i will send more of him now..he has really grown he;s beautiful!!!!! well I'll talk to you later..oh yeah I was wondering have you ever had a conure beforE? I know you've had a lot of different kinds of birds ;)

Ohh so he's a hybrid lol, adorable!

I've had Jenday conures, Green cheeks and a Pearly.

Conures are such clowns, full grown Jendays are sooo beautiful!

is that a jenday you sent a picture of?? charley doesn't look like that one at all..the picture of the bird you sent had so much yellow on it and charley doesn't have any at all. can yyou send me a picture of the jenday you have/had so I would just like to se e pictures of more :)

Yes that's what a Jenday looks like once fully mature.

I don't have any photos of the Jenday I had sadly, I deleted my old photobucket account.

I may end up handfeeding another jenday in the future so then I'll post photos.
