Spayed girl, Pemberton, NJ

I really am in need of some serious help here. We just found out today that my husband is probably going to be hired by a firm in Michigan and while this is a good thing, since he has been out of work for almost two months now, if he takes the position we will have to leave in two weeks. The company is giving us an apt for the first 6 months, but we can't take pets. This is not a problem with Jasper because a friend of mine is going to catsit until we find a house to buy, but she has 4 kids and no time to take care of LB. I am heartbroken since I have fallen in love with our Little Bear and even more than heartbroken, I am scared. I absolutely HAVE to find her a home ASAP. This wouldn't be an issue if she were not a special needs kitty, but I don't want to give her to just anyone. I have been asking everyone I know all afternoon and evening and am at a loss. I am willing to deliver her if I can find somewhere within a few hours of us. If any of you have any ideas PLEASE let me know...I have been crying all day and am so confused and exhausted I don't know which end is up at the moment. I have been trying to find a disabled shelter or something of the sort around us, but I can't find anything online and I am scared that they would put her in a cage or something...I really need to know that she is going to someone that will love her and take care of her!!!!

We are in Pemberton, NJ. This is pretty much right in the center of the state...40 min from the beach, 40 min from Philly and about 2 hours from NYC and Atlantic City. Like I said, we are definately willing to go for a drive..as long as it is less than like 6-7 hours...to find her a GOOD home.

The only thing I can offer are my prayers. I know how scary this is for you but we'll keep praying that you find a foster home for Little Bear until you can get her back.

Sad As It Is To Say All We Can Offer In Canada Is Prayers That That Dear Cat Can Find A Home Where She Will Be Loved By Someone As Much As Much As You Do.

CH? Moving to Michigan? My antennae quivered..

I just wrote her on the handicappedpets site offering to foster her Little Bear while they look for permanent housing or else adopt her.

We will certainly take her. Just let me know the where and when to pick her up.
Sorry but I use the my office computer and am not on line during the weekend.
The only way the reach me then is by my cell.

Once again, GILL to the rescue!!! Thank you for helping these people out. It's not the cat's fault they can't take her.

Bless your heart, John!!

I have to say, I LOVE how all this came together--2 offers, and 1 to take her home! :)

We can always make room for special needs. With a cute face like that how can any one say no. I should have her no later that Sunday.

Gill, your home sounds just wonderful for Little Bear. And that's so nice that you will have her by Sunday.

Elmer is looking forward to learning all about her. (His heart belongs to Taccoa, though.)

Best wishes, John and family and kitties!
