Fritz don't drool!

Whenever you pet Fritz she purrs and purrs and then she purrs and drools! Is that normal?

Some cats are droolier (is that a word?) than others. I am prone to calling my Olivia 'my little fuzzy dribble glass of love' due to her drooling tendancies. Some have told me it's frequent in cats that were weaned early from their mothers, but I don't think that's it exclusively. Hope this doesn't discourage you from fondling Fritzy: she obviously loves your fondling her. :D

My cat Pepper is also a drooler. He doesn't always do this though. He seems to do it when he's being extra lovey and affectionate. He was found motherless and had to be bottle fed as a kitten. He also does the kneading thing to me. Maybe this is the behavior of cats that were taken away from their mothers too soon.

My 2 were both with their mothers until 12 weeks of age - definatley not too young when I got them and they both drool as the knead me. They are both super affectionate and come to me several times a day for a pet and drool session.

Well I pet her while I read my books (and I'll never stop fondling her she is my little cutie cat! :)) And she drools on me and my books...Odie and Fritz would two years old in human years. In cat years...around 25. Oh well! :)

Bassett is like a faucet.. she drools like crazy. She was taken away from her mother too soon; when I first got her she sucked on her tail and kneeded stuff.. I was able to break her of that habbit but now when I hold her I get a kleenex :D

Norman is a mega drooler as well. He was bottle fed as a baby & my home was his third (at least) by the time he was 5 months old.

Norman is now 9 and the most affectionate cat I have ever met! He would stay on my lap, chest, or whatever 24/7 if I let him. He gets super droolie (?) when he gets into kneading mode, especially on my head!

Even though the drool can be yucky, I still take this all as a compliment and as a sign he loves me, his mommy.

Teehee!!! Well good idea about the tissue!!! ;) She still drools but not as much now :) But last night...Ugh. I woke up because my mouth piece (Just got braces last week!!!) was making my jaw ache. Odie had kneeded my head (I read that a cat did that when they suckled milk from their mother and when they do that to you they are remember the best times of their kitten lives so that's a compliment!) and then I saw that Odie has started to drool too.
