Cincy Sir Jury on 4/17

Miss Cincy will be going in for Sir Jury on Thursday, to have some lumps and bumps removed. She has had one for over a year on her side, that we have been watching, and another on the base of her tail we found a few months ago. It was, however the newest bump that Ralph found in her mammary area, the made the vet say it is time to get them removed.

At this point, the vet does not feel it is cancerous, but due to the location, he wants to treat aggressively. While she is under, he is going to remove the rest as well.

If you don't mind, plesae send some thoughts and prayers our way on Thursday!

Sugar had a lump removed last year. The hardest part for ME was waiting for the lab report. (It was benign.) And I was surprised at the long line of stitches -- 27! The vet was as well. She said the lump was small above but had been growing and expanding underneath and almost wrapped around the carotid!

Lots of prayers on the way for Cincy. I don't think it matters if you are 100% sure that everything is OK, we all worry when our babies go in for sir jury of any kind.

I worried all morning Friday and Max only went in for a dental.

You know I have already been thinking about and praying for our Cincy girl. I am sure she will be okay but as everyone said whether they are going in for a dental cleaning or a bump removal, you still worry about them. Your biggest problem isn't going to be the surgery (I hope) but how to keep her from licking and chewing on them all the time. Love and hugs to our Cincy girl and her brother and sister too -- oh mom and dad too.

Thanks everybody! Both Ralph and I are nervous about how she will do, but she is a tough little girl and our vet is good. Just that aprehension anytime one of the kids goes in for something!

I did have to laugh a little, last night we took the dogs for their weekely therapy visit at the library. The librian has known them for 4 or 5 years now and so we toldher about the surgery. She was very concerned and wants us to call her tomorrow night to let her know Cincy is okay. She said i know you think I'm crazy, but I'lljust worry. Nope, we understand completely!!

Cincy is out of surgery, awake and doing well. Everything appeared to be fatty tumors, although one may have been pre-cancerous. We will find out more when we get the test results back, but for now things look good. Thanks for the thoughts and prayers.

Yes, Cincy is home! Ralph picked her up around 4:30 yesterday afternoon. She spent most of last night laying on her bed in the living room, under the watchful eyes of her older brother and sister. If course, she didn't fail to wake up exactly at dinner time! This morning she seems to have a bit more energy back....which is going to make the no play for 14 days tough!

The vet decided not to send any of the masses out for evaluation. He was comfortable that all 3 were fatty deposits. The one in her mammary area had all the signs of becoming cancer...good blood supply, etc., but had gotten there yet. Good things she has a daddy that checks them all over so close for lumps and bumps!!!

I think the biggest challenge now will be keeping Cincy down! She isn't supposed to run, jump and play for 14 days (well 9 now), but she is ready to go!

Today I got home from work, she grabbed her tennis ball, woofed once and ran out the back door. How can you not go play with her?

Yep, she's doing great!!!
