Tikeya has a growth on her front left leg. Its a bit smaller then a golfball. She is going to the white coats on Monday or Tuesday to get it removed.. It just noticed it about 2 weeks ago, and its grown a little since then. Poor girl. Pray that its not canerious.. She also is getting her teeth cleaned while shes under..
I'll update after the surgery. :(

Jenny had the same thing on her front foot and it wasn't cancerous. it was heck to keep her from chewing the stitches though she did that 3 times and had to be resewed. I hope Tikeya's isn't cancer, too! prayers for a safe surgery and a speedy recovery! (((Tikeya)))

LOTS of prayers & sibe vibes for Tikeya. Star had a small mass on her paw removed & her teeth cleaned at the same time, too, last year. It's hard not to worry, I know you'll feel better when it's over & she's back home. ;)

I hope she'll be ok. Good vibes coming your way. Try not to worry but I know it's hard. Dasher just had one removed and it was benign. And I wish I'd thought to get his teeth cleaned, too.

Well I finally was able to get ahold of the vet today. I made an appointment for Wednesday at 11 am. I hope all goes well. They only do surgeries on Mondasy and Tuedays at my vet, so I will have to wait till next week to get everything done. It's kinda relieving to know that a few other members had a mass removed and it went fine.. It really makes me feel better about it.. I just wish she didn't have to go under..I always worrie so much about her.

Hey
I took Tikeya to see the vet, and she gave me a quote for the surgery.. Its going to be around $600.00.. I need a while to come up with that sorta money.. I had no idea it was going to be that much.. I was thiking maybe around $300.00, not 6!!!.. So it might not happen till next month.. Sigh.

I know how you feel. I'm now 2800+ into Henny's recovery and she now has infected drain tubes :( . Have you asked about care credit. It's a credit card  and really the only way i'm able to do this much for her.

Yeah I already applied for the care petcard, and they said I need a co-signer.. So I got my boyfriend to co-sign, and they declined it... So I have to come up with the cash now.. bah.. I am so aorry to hear that your in the hole so much money already for your pupski!!! thats horrible. :(.
I will be able to do it, just not right now.. Like I had originally planned.

Oh no! poor baby Tikeya :( I would be happy to contribute towards her treatment if someone can get a Paypal thingy up and running.
Or I could do readings in return for a donation to the Tikeya fund......

Oh my goodness BM, that would be a HUGE help to me.. I don't know if I could accept that. Or how I could ever repay you guys.. I think thats the the nicest thing anyone has done for me.

Right now I have managed to get $400.00 together to go towards her surgery. I only need $200.00 more. I'm sure I could get it together later next month, but untill then I might have to hold off.. I got a quote from another vet, he said the same price.. So now I am actually about $120 into vet bills, for the same quote.. Sigh.. Each vet charged $68.00 for the visit, just to see Tikeya, and give a price quote.

Actually, all you have to PM people is the email address you use on PayPal. That way, they don't even have to be a member to send money.

things arn't looking good right now.. She has to wear a muzzle now too around the other dogs. She bite baby on several ocasions, and just the other day she nipped Oscar and made him cry!!. We are attampting to rehome her, but it has to be the right type of person/home to care for her properly. She is very fearful of new people and settings.. She needs a patient owner with no kids, perferably with past pitbull experience.
