View Full Version : Thursday #259 - A Party Planner?

RICHARD

This Thursday we have to do some housekeeping......

Spring Cleaning? Big Party Coming Up! :D ;)

--------------

Windows, Deck, Kitchen, L&F! Dishes, Glasses, Fine Silverware!

I guess we can all put our heads together and discuss a theme for our BASH!

Can we start with some coffee, tea, pop for the kiddies?
I made a vanilla cake with choco frosting today....I was a cooking freak today.

For brekkie we have hash browns, eggs, toast and green tea.

I also baked a cake and potatoes, steamed corn and made a clam salad.

I think a simple Gin and Tonic will keep us on track, for the moment!

DONE!

I came into the bar with high hopes that hell was being raised and I could join in and get out of this mood from all the bad news on Pet Talk................

but no - Richard has to be making KLAM SALAD? retch, retch, retch.............

Let me have one of those gin and tonics..........................I'll check back in later for breakfast if my stomach is ready.

...and made a clam salad.
I knew that would catch Phred's attention! :D It's almost lunch time here, so I'll start with one of those. You can cover Phred's in parsley, and he won't notice. ;)

Think I'll wait a few hours with the G & T, thank you - and then make it a double, please!

Breakfast sounds delicous! I'll just have some milk since it's about my bedtime. I've never had clam salad. Don't know if I'd like that or not. Maybe after a few drinks.

Just one question ~ are the klams steamed or raw? I like both but then everybody knows I'm a bit strange. Gin smells funny, can I opt for a BM? I'm trying to figure out a cake and potatoes. Potato cakes are yummy but is that what you mean? How do have potato cakes with chocolate icing

I'll take one of LH's patented Fort Drum coffees (no adds for now...no QA audits today. :D )

One Fort Drum Special, coming right up!

(Just remember, if it's after 1700, don't ask what's in the coffee, and it's always after 1700....somewhere)

Brekkie time here. I'll have some of those hash browns and eggs and I'll bring over some bacon from that other board I was just visiting. Cuppa coffee to go and I'm off to work!

We don't really have to clean the L&F before we get our clam salad and gin and tonic do we? That seems a very heavy price to pay.

"He won't notice"??
Wanna take a wager on that?
I wouldn't put much money on it!

A whole Bushel of Parsley won't hide a KLAM - no matter if it's steamed, raw,
BBQ'd, fried, baked, broiled, boiled, hidden in a salad, or alive ...

A Klam's a KLAM!
:p

You know what Phred? My mom always claimed she didn't like mussels, but one time I cooked for her, I put some in without her noticing - she thought it was yummy! :D

Well, it's past G+T time now, so a glass of red wine with the chili chicken would be in order. ;)

Can anyone explain what hash browns are.

Come on Phred, tell us how you REALLY feel about klamz!!! ;) :D

I happen to agree with you on that one!!! No way could I mistake those little green gallbladder look alikes for food!!! :D

Could I just have a strawberry smoothie? I'm still fighting sinus infection and food sounds awful. blah blah :p :D

Randi, hash browns are shredded potatoes that are fried. Really yummy!!! :)

I think "home fries" are better than hash browns. They are chunked up (not shredded or diced) potatoes fried (I like them fried in some bacon grease) with bits of onion and crumpled bacon. YUMMERS. Sara, have you been keeping that bottle of Klam Juz all this time  Must be pretty, um... ripe by now ;)

Everyone's a critic! :D

I can omit the clams for those who have and aversion to them. ;)

Ahem, In the LAND OF THE EASILY AMUSED, We already have clam salad..

Right now the smell of spoiled fruit is wafting into my house....

Nothing ever smelled so good! I FOUND MY WALLET!

I lost my wallet, my bag, t-shirt, fruit and some halloween candy during the first week of January.

To keep the story from boring you all I'll post a thread in the general section!

I love hash browns but they have to be fried crisp. How about a big glass of ice cold chocolate milk? Anyone ever have breakfast for supper? I love doing that.

Is this true? That Richard is offering fruit wallets for breakfast now?

Sure better than that Klam Juice.

Laurie, just think, Sara brought that juice all of the way from Chicago - and it is STILL good. (I'm not going to tell her - are you?);)
