I am having trouble with Mollie June again - she has been jumping up on the couch and peeing a little bit. I've talked to the vet a few times about this and am going to start her on a special cat food for cats with kidney problem or those who are prone to have kidney problems. I know she probably can't help it, but I do get irritated at her. I spray carpet & upholstery cleaner on the couch wher she pees, but I don't think it gets rid of the smell. If anyone has any ideas on that I would appreciate hearing them. It is an old couch that is not in very good shape. I would like to get a new couch, but won't until Mollie quits piddling. HOPE Everyone had a Good Easter!!!

Get a sample to a lab. It could be crystals (there are two kinds) or germs (there are a MILLION kinds) - a more specific etiology will be a huge help!

THAT SADLY IS THE MAIN REASON A LOT OF CATS GO TO SHELTERS OR ARE ABANDONED AND THAT BEING DIRTY.
WE ARE SENDING PRAYERS FOR YOU AND MOLLIE JUNE THAT YOU CAN MODIFY THIS BEHAVIOR.

My guess is she is telling you there is something wrong! Get her to the vets and get her checked out.

My guess is she is telling you there is something wrong, either in the house or with her! Get her to the vets and get her checked out.

For your sofa, soak the spot with an enzyme cleaner, such as Nature's Miracle or OutRight's Simple Solution.

Mollie is doing better - she is still on the antibiotic I took her to the vet and started her on special cat food.

To Catmandu - I love the photo you posted on 03/24/08 of your cats napping. It reminds me of my cat babies - they like to curl up together too.

Hopefully, Mollie will continue to do well but if she should backslide and start peeing again, PM me. A tiny pill that I give my pee cats every night before bed has worked wonders around here. I've talked about it so often that I don't want to bore everyone here on PT with it. LOL
