Maybe I taste good, or maybe they really love me, but both Scout and Bixby like to groom me and I don't mean just a lick or two...they'll sit there for a good minute or two and lick the same spot. With Scout, he'll lick my arm or leg whatever is closest. Bixby will lay on my chest and put his two little paws on my cheeks on lick my chin. It's so cute, but sometimes I wonder if they're trying to make my skin come off. lol Anyone else's kitties *groom* them?

Zasper used to love grooming me. I have really short hair so sometimes when I would lie down she would get on my pillow and lick my head for really long periods of time.

Bixby sounds sooo cute with his paws on your chin :).

Piglet isn't big on grooming people and sometimes I think she should really pay a bit more attention to her own hygiene (she tends to forget certain places and is sometimes referred to as 'stinky butt' ;) )
My parents cat Jip will wash your hands when she is lying on your lap, it's like 'hey, I'm washing myself anyway, why don't I give you a good clean while I'm at it'.

My cat Miko, a female calico, gets so happy and appreciative(?) when I pet her and scritch behind her ears, she'll start grooming me in return. If I let her, she'd work her way down my arm from my elbow to my fingers!

After your cats groom you, do you go to the sink and wash off the cat saliva? ;)

My cat Casey who is 7 loves to lay on the pillow in my bed and lick my face and eyelids. He only does it for a minute or two before the sandpaper effect starts to irritate my skin. Do I wash the cat spit off??? Heck no!

Sunny has actually licked my head before. It's only when I sit on the couch and he sits on top of it by my head. I guess my hair must have smelled extra good that day. Storm has licked my legs and feet after I've had a shower. I don't think that Pepper has ever really licked me before.

My Karamel loves to groom my neck or the nape of my neck. But he licks so hard, he really hurts. Also while grooming he kneads my chest with his paws. Whenever i come home and want to lie down on the couch he will rise from where he is lying and come to grrom me. But then i have to wash my neck and in summer he leaves so much hair i have to take a shower. He grooms me so passionately, he makes sounds and we have such a funny look, me sitting ot lying down and my orange tabby with his face stuck into my neck!!! My husband hates it and tells me not to let him. But even if i reject Karamel he will come again and again... I have to threaten him with the spray bottle at times. Because it is really troublesome but i guess he does it because he thinks i am his mom, since he was a couple of weeks old when he came to me and he has no other cat-siblings.

Rudie grooms me every night when we watch tv and he's there with me. Same routine day in day out. He comes downstairs to sleep on the sofa with me for a good 30 minutes, wakes up, grooms himself very well, and than it's my turn. Hands, face, hair. I love it, since for me he shows me how much he loves me.

YES!!! My family's cat, who passed away a few years ago, was banned from the bedroom. We discovered that she loved to "groom" her humans while they slept. It was nasty. Imagine waking up at 3am to find your cat licking and trying to untangle your messy bed hair. There's nothing like a head full of cat saliva and ouch, she was not the gentlist stylist I've ever had. She was my favorite of the cats we've had so far, but the hair thing was a bit weird.

Noah is our little groomer! He LOVES to groom our hair and in the early morning wakes me up by licking my face. He also likes to like my legs after I take baths. I think its very cute! :)

I've heard it's a term of endearment. Has anyone else heard that?
