Today was Lucy's annual vet visit. I also scheduled Chloe for the same visit, as she had a problem with her one fat, silly toenail. Other than lots of meowing on their way to and from the vet, they were both good girls. All my pets have great behavior at the vet, including my bunny. Chloe's nail was ingrown and needed a serious vet style clipping. There was lots of blood and boy was I happy I decided to bring her along today- it was very close to becoming infected. Bad Mom. My vet has gone hi-tech and both girls had their pictures taken, for their computer profile....They (the cats) were quite cooperative for the photo!

Lucy was the first kitty back inside at home and headed straight for the food bowl. Chloe is in hiding and will be for days. Lucy is sleeping on my right arm, as I type right now. Actually, Chloe is right here now too. She must not have had as bad a visit as I had thought. She is such a good girl too. Lucy is the best though.....

I am so proud of my pets for being the perfect clients for the vet. My vet often says how darn awful she feels when a pet struggles with her.....and many do!

Thank you girls!

Good girls!

I'm afraid our Jessica has bitten the vet a few times, but in general, our cats are so terrified when they are at the vet that they do behave themselves.

I'm glad your kitties were good at the white coats.

Mine are not always that way...Jack has a muzzle label on his file. Sabrina & Josh have a caution label on their files.

I am so glad that your girls were so well behaved at the vet. :)

Sorry for seeing this late. We are sending sweet kissies for Chloe's sore little paw.
And hugs for brave Lucy as well.

Chloe's widdle paw paw is just fine. I couldn't bring myself to check before now..... actually yesterday afternoon I caught her sunning herself...with paws exposed and her widdle paw is looking ordinary. I caught the problem just in time. She is such a little love bug....but doesn't forget when I torture her from time to time. Lucy on the other hand, can be captured easily...and fooled easily.

Thanks for thinking of my widdle aby girl. (Siegmar's girl....that is....)

I am trying to imagine what a 'fat silly toenail' looks like. Vita may have one! I think I clipped on nail to chort a while back (I'm talking at least 2 months back!), and now it is a 'glob,' rather than growing out into a point. Is that what you mean?

Vita has bitten the vet, and Chestnut has 'caution' written on his file. We can't even put him on the scale for a weight; which is fine, as we ALL know he is overweight.

Glad you had a successful visit, that is always a huge relief!

Chloe's toenail is flat rather than round. It is twice the width of a normal nail, AND curls under rather than grows outward....thus it ends up growing in to the pad of her foot. If I stay on top of the problem, I can cut it before it does the curl. I don't think it hurts her under normal circumstances. My breeder said it was a birth defect and that one other kitty in the same litter had the same problem.... Since I have always spayed my girl kitties, it is not an issue. The breeder never allows the same two cats to breed with each other, if they have issues with kittens.......Chloe is the sweetest little girl. I am glad I have her. :D
