If I DIDN’T HAVE DOGS…

-I could walk around the yard barefoot in safety.
-My house could be carpeted instead of tiled and laminated.
-All flat surfaces, clothing, furniture, and cars would be free of hair.
-When the doorbell rings, it wouldn't sound like a kennel.
-I could sit on the couch and my bed the way I wanted, without taking into
consideration how much space several fur bodies would need to get comfortable.
-I would not have strange presents under my Christmas tree - dog bones,
stuffed animals, toys, and treats nor would I have to explain to people

why I wrap them.

-I would have money and no guilt to go on a real vacation.
-I would not be on a first-name basis with 4 veterinarians, as I put their yet
unborn grand kids through college.
-The most used words in my vocabulary would not be: out, sit, down, come, no, stay,
and leave him/her/it ALONE.
-My house would not be cordoned off into zones with baby gates or barriers.
-My house would not look like a day care center, toys everywhere.
-My pockets would not contain things like poop bags, treats and an extra leash.
-I would no longer have to Spell the words B-A-L-L-, F-R-I-S-B-E- E, W-A-L-K,
T-R-E-A-T or R-I-D-E.
-I would not have as many leaves INSIDE my house as outside.
-I would not look strangely at people who think having ONE dog ties them down too much.
-I'd look forward to spring and the rainy season instead of dreading "muddy" season.
-I would not have to answer the question "Why do you have so many animals?" from people
who do not have the joy in their lives of knowing they are loved unconditionally by
someone as close to an angel as they will ever get.
If I didn't have dogs ................... How empty my life would be.

Oh how true... how true!!
These are the most true for me:

*I could walk around the yard barefoot in safety.
*I could sit on the couch and my bed the way I wanted, without taking into
consideration how much space several fur bodies would need to get comfortable
*I'd look forward to spring and the rainy season instead of dreading "muddy" season.

How empty my life would be....

So very true. I wouldn't want it any other way. I don't care if my white clothes have dark hairs and my dark clothes have white hairs either!

If I DIDN’T HAVE a CAT…

-My house could be carpeted instead of tiled and laminated.
-My carpet would be free of cat barf stains!
-All flat surfaces, clothing, furniture, and cars would be free of hair.
-There would be no need for lint rollers at my house.
-I could sit on the couch and lie on my bed the way I wanted, without taking into consideration how much space the cat and I will each need to get comfortable.
-I would not have strange presents under my Christmas tree - cat toys and treats -- nor would I have to explain to people why I wrap them.
-I would have money and no guilt to go on a real vacation.
-I would not be on a first-name basis with 4 veterinarians, as I put their yet-unborn grandchildren through college.
-The most used words in my vocabulary would not be: out, get down, no, or leave him/her/it ALONE.
-My house would not be cordoned off into zones by the cat’s litter boxes, beds, blankets and cat trees.
-I would have significantly fewer photographs.
-I would not look strangely at people who think having a pet ties them down too much.
-I would not have to answer the question "Why do you bother keeping a cat?" from people who do not have the joy in their lives of knowing they are loved unconditionally by someone as close to an angel as they will ever get.
If I didn't have cats ................... How empty my life would be.

-I would not have as many leaves INSIDE my house as outside.
This is my line, I actually say this quite often. :)

I actually hadn't thought about it before, but I also like this one

-I would have money and no guilt to go on a real vacation.

So true. ;) I had a bad day at work and when I get home to my furkids, it makes me forget all about it. :)

-I'd look forward to spring and the rainy season instead of dreading "muddy" season.
It's starting right now.

I would have to say AMEN to that. :) If I didn't have dogs, I'd be out
adopting some.

Ah, yes, but if you had a bunny, many of those things would still be true, and you'd have added knowledge:

If I didn't have a bunny, I wouldn't know that hay can slay any vacuum cleaner out there! The next time there's one of those vacuum demonstrations, I'm gonna pull out some hay and throw it down .... Mwaaa haa haa!

Ah, but I have both!
I'm I didn't have a bunny, I wouldn't be driving 45 minutes to the feed store for special pellets, and I wouldn't care what kind of organic greens my mom buys. :D

I also woudn't need to cover all of my cords and wouldn't have scratches all over my arm from nail clipping day!
