View Full Version : Thursday #256-A Play date?

RICHARD

I need some help with the sand box......

I want to welcome you all to the Mario Memorial Play Area!

I cleared out the area below the patio and put in some swings, a slide, merry-go-round and the Mario Monkey Bars!

There is nothing better than a swing or a ride on a merry-go-round to keep me smiling.

I'll fire up the see-ment mixer for drinks. Banana Daquiris?

I think angel hair pasta is in order!

We have cherry and blueberry cheese cake, popcorn too?

Wouldn't some cotton candy be a hoot?

--------------

Lady,
Come here for some hugs. I know......I miss having someone hanging from the ceiling and pulling on my hair.

Excuse me, I need to go into the lost and found. There is something in my eyes. :(

OMG!

Is that Bowser chasing the Monkey on the Merry-Go-Round!?

:D

GOOD JOB, Bar-Keep!

Gosh, it must be the Santa Ana winds kicking up - they always make my eyes tear up.

Look - the swing is moving back and forth - but there is no one on it.

This is a wonderful play area you have created Richard - just perfect. I think all of us will be spending a lot of time here now that the weather is better.

A banana daiquiri - what a way to start the day.

Ya think a pirate treehouse for the plaque tree would be too much?

What would Mario think of everyone wearing sunglasses?

Richard, dear, blueberries grow on bushes, not trees! Even the "high bush" berries are still very bush-shaped, just taller. We can, however, plant a blueberry patch in Mario's memory, and put a path to a bench in the middle. A big and comfy enough bench for whomever needs a resting place, complete with room for Lady and maybe the blue/orange cat!

I think what tree would be best for a Mario memorial would be a good crabapple tree. Why? Pretty flowers in the spring for a certain monkey to nibble for fun, and then, later in the summer, hard little apples that are good for lobbing at unsuspecting passersby and good twisty branches for climbing. How about that?

Grey rainy-ish day here, not to be boring, but chai, please?

I got those March winds in Chicago, the ones that bring the April showers, kicking up dust. <sniff> Here, I brought some bananas for smoothies, would anybody like one with me?

I should have known....for a long time I thought they grew in the square plastic boxes. To dumb Cah Lee Fuh Nee Ahns Everything grows on trees!

Your suggestions are great..Let me get out my saw and hammer.

LOL, that cat is still blue? We better watch out-we'll get a ticket for coloring it! ;)

CM,
I'll take those, Go for a ride on the swingset and I'll blend you up a smoothie.

I'm still recovering from LES for Mario! A banana smoothie will help with the recovery. I love Mario's memorial play area and the dedication plaque. I may have to try the swing set after having some of Randi's delicious bread.

I will be happy to take a banana dacquiri in honour of the occasion. I'll have that after I've been on the see-saw though. I don't want to be hanging from the ceiling fan myself!

Tacos sound yummy but hold the see-saw. Gosh, are we in Kansas the only ones who called them teeter totters? Or maybe it was just my family???? We are an odd lot!!! :D

I heard a recipe on the radio this morning for "Monkey Cakes" - they are regular pancakes filled with Nutella and sliced bananas.

Maybe we could call them "Mario Cakes" and feature them at breakfast next week?

Unless you have the fixin's now, bartender! :)

Is all this "dust" that brings on LES from building the Playground? If so LET 'ER RIP. I found some very ripe bananas at the store (right next to the blueberries) so I have a banana bread loaf baking as we speak (or type) for tomorrows breakfast. By the way folks, I now have a new email address from my home 'puter so I can once again feel safe posting (sorry to have been so absent) Now if only I can figure out how to change my settings or whatever they're call on PetTalk I can get messages that are safe from my "supervisor from H-E-double hockey sticks. I'm writing this from my home so maybe it will work. I dunno... Troglodite that I am. I'll have to ask Slick. I'm just glad to be home. Love you all and pass the DOTD :p :D

Mario Cakes sound lots better than "Monkey Cakes".

Monkey Cakes reminds me of cow pies. You sure don't want to eat THOSE!!! ;) :D

so I can once again feel safe posting (sorry to have been so absent)

Now if only I can figure out how to change my settings or whatever they're called on PetTalk,
I can get messages that are safe from my "supervisor from H-E-double hockey sticks".
I'm writing this from my home so maybe it will work. I dunno...
Troglodite that I am. I'll have to ask Slick.

I'm just glad to be home. :p :D

How does one FIND your new Home e-mail?? (We can't PM you.)
From past sad experiences, your WORK e-mail won't accept E-Cards. :(

As for your "PT Settings" ... you're "set" to be UN-reachable ...
E-mail is turned OFF;
and PM's are not turned ON = no one can PM you.

"Glad to be home" =
Where WERE ya?

Hey all!

Just dropping in for some tea to share with the kitties and to check out the Mario memorial. It looks good guys!

Hoodini asks if you all mind if he sleeps under my chair. It is his favorite spot in the whole world to sleep.

POLLUX! Stay out of the food! You are guest, people will feed you if you are patient!

My kitties are making themselves quite at home...after the adventure they had today they are ready to rest!

What would you like?

Hokay,

We haven't enforced the "rules" here at Thursday's lately... :D

If you don't mind sticky glasses. Anteater spit is something special, similar to slug slime. On the plus side she can reach the bottom of tall thin glasses.

I'll ave a sparkling grape juice and share with Pua and pretend it's champagne.

Yeah, and when I was little there was always some wise guy that would jump off his end of the teeter totter - so you would come crashing down.

You had to be very careful who you selected to play on the teeter totters.

Thanks for the refill Richard.

Gini, I've had that happen to me as a kid too, and there's the wise guy that would stay on the ground and leave you sitting in the air! BTW, in Pittsburgh they were called see-saws. RICHARD, could I have another banana smoothie and maybe entice someone to go on the see-saw with me.
