I was so enjoying reading about the wonderful Dog of the Day and wanted to know more, so I went to her web site. In reading the Blog section, I was saddened to learn that this dear sweet girl has recently passed away. (Feb. 23, 2008). God speed on your trip to the Rainbow Bridge.

Dear sweet Sugar, I went to your website and enjoyed all the pictures so much. Now, to learn that you had to leave for the Rainbow Bridge has made me so very sad.

Still, I know that you are waiting there for the wonderful family that loved you so much and made you so happy, after you had been given up by others. May God bless you and keep you, as you play in God's garden.

Dearest Sugar, sweet Sheltie girl. I’m sitting here in tears, having learned of your passing:( But I hope your family can take some small measure of comfort, seeing you honored here today.

God Bless good and caring people like your Mom Lisa, and your rescue group; selfless souls who are willing to give such deserving doggies, especially precious seniors such as you, a second chance at life, at forever love. One need only read your Mommy’s loving words, visit your website, to know just how special a pup you were.

Your time with your new forever family was far too brief Sugar, but blessedly, left this earth having been loved, unconditionally. Now run and play happily at the Rainbow Bridge sweetheart, with all of our beloved furangels, until that happy day when you and your family are reunited in love.

To Lisa, Mom of Sugar, my heartfelt sympathies on the passing of your beautiful girl. And thank you so much for making her final year such a happy one.
(((hugs)))
Love,
Sandra

special pups like you to steal yourself into their heart. I am so happy to

Oh Sugar!!! What a wonderful thing your family did by rescuing a "mature" pup. You are stunning and I see why your family fell in love with you and were willing to drive do far to bring you to your new furever home. Congradulations sweetheart on being DOTD!!

We are so, so sorry to learn of Sugar's passing. Being named Dog of the Day is a lovely tribute. Our Sasha must surely be there welcoming Sugar to Rainbow Bridge.

Love is compelling, powerful and endless; death cannot break that bond.

Please accept our deepest sympathies,
