It is very rare that I do this, but I would like to introduce Elmo, who we pulled from a shelter in Canada. The shelter was marvelous and tried everything to get Elmo adopted, but Elmo had a problem with his back legs so was continually overlooked. He has such a wonderful disposition that when they asked us to take him, we just couldn't say no.
Elmo has two ACL tears in his back legs that are going to require surgery. We found a wonderful vet that is willing to do it at a reduced price, a vet tech to foster him through his surgery and rehab and a local pet store that donated high quality food and joint supplements to help him. Now we need to raise the money for his surgery, which will cost over $2000. We have set up a fundraising page for him here - Elmo's Page (http://www.firstgiving.com/elmofund)
