Well Houdini lives in a large dog kennel/crate outside it is covered completely with chicken wire so things can't get in. This dog kennel is beside my duck pen. Well about 3 am my dogs are barking and having a fit and I go outside and hear screaming. I just knew it was my bunny because I know what it sounds like when they scream. I went to where her kennel was and it was gone. I then looked in the woods about 100 yards away and found the kennel sideways. I'm guessing a coyote drug it all this way. Please hope/pray that Houdini will be ok. She has a messed up foot and looks like she needs stitches. I'm taking her to the vet first thing in the morning.

:( Thanks for all the concern. She is now in an elizabethan collar and has a wrap and splint around her injured foot. One toe also had to be amputated.

Awwww.....poor Houdini!!!
Just so you know lindsey, chicken wire is meant to keep birds in, it is not a deternt for predators. It is very easy for predators to get into chicken wire. I would use a stronger type of fencing for your birds and bunnies.

Oh, I'm sorry, I'm just seeing this. How traumatic for poor Houdini. I hope he recovers fully and quickly.

Oh my goodness!! That poor bunny! I hope she will be doing better quite soon. Is there another type of enclosure to put her in, or keep her inside, so that she'd be safer??

Houdini is an indoor bunny now. She was instantly litter box trained. Her bandage was taken off at the vet thursday and he said it looked really good and should heal well.

I'm glad to hear Houdini is going to heal up nicely. I'm also glad to hear she will now be an inside bunny. That's great that you could do that for her. :)
