His flight isn't leaving till 11:50am now.

Still have my fingers crossed!!!!

Here's the link to his flight tracker.....
His flight won't show up on the tracker until it takes off.

I'm sorry to hear that Woody was rejected for the earlier morning flight again:( but I'm so glad that he now has a ticket for a later flight and that he's finally been accepted. Thanks Phred for making this happen.:) Now hopefully everything will go smoothly and he'll arrive in Philly tonight and Karen won't have any problems picking him up. Lots more prayers and positive thoughts are being sent his way.

Here's my little boy in the airport all "locked up" and ready to go.

I'm going to miss you, Woody. You came here unexpectedly, and I just expected to have you a few days, but we were together a while, weren't we?. You'll love your new home. The white stuff all over the ground might take some getting used to, but I know you'll do good.

I pray that you do good on the flight and you have lots of fun in your new home.

I'll never forget that ARRRRROOOOOO of yours. It's just the cutest thing EVER. Be good, little mini man. Have a good life my little friend.

Well the connecting flight number phred gave is in the air, I just wish we knew if he was on it. Crossing fingers he made it, took off 20 minutes late so hopefuly that gave them enough time for the transfer, if he was on the first flight. Good luck Woody! I hope you are where you are supposed to be and will be safe soon. Anxiously awaiting details on his whereabouts.

I'm sorry for not replying sooner, I HAD to take a nap (stayed up too late and then woke up so early to take Woody to the airport) then had to get lunch for my little girl. Phred said he was going to check on Woody while I took a nap, I'm sorry to keep you all waiting.

I will call again shortly to check on my little Woody. I hope he's not too scared, poor little pup :(

Off to get myself some lunch now. I'm near my phones and I will be checking frequentlly any updates here that Phred may post.

Oh, and here's a video I took in the airport. You can hear little whimpers from Woody if you listen carefully (and you can hear my hubby and baby in the background also hehe)

I'm back & the Kidney Doc is a lil richer.

Hope Woody packed a good book ...

He's STII stuck in Dallas/Ft Worth - at 5:50 pm Eastern time.

The current "excuse" on the computer changed from "weather delay but they're out on the runway"
to "Equipment Change & still at the gate".

Nobody really knows ... Last promise was depart at 5:40 EST (1 hr 10 min late) ---
but it was 5:50 when he read that and said they had NOT pushed back from the gate.

IF they had taken off at 5:40 EST - the ETA to Philly was 8:40 pm ...
so the realistic arrival in Philly is prolly ~~ 9:00 pm tonight +/- a few.

Will update in a few.

OK, AA Flight 1086 is OFF and FLYING at 5:55 pm EST ...

No accutate uppydate on the Philly ETA - but it will be "about" 8:50 - 9:00 pm EASTERN Time.

They might take good care of the DAWG - but they treat the Hoomins like POOP!

Woody is ALREADY IN PHILLY -
been there since 6:15 pm!

HOW he got there, nobody will admit to ... but he's there!
I just spoke with the Philly Office Girl - she has Woody and another pup in the Office -
I heard 'em both "talking" in the background! :D

And it turns out Karen had called minutes before I found him -
so she and John have been enroute to the airport since 6:20 or so.

She "forgot" to take all my carefully prepared instructions - WHY do I bother??? -
but John insists he knows where to go.

So stop Flight Tracking Woody - he's driving an office desk in the Philly terminal.

Welcome to (almost) HOME, Woody!!

Woody is now officially checking his new yard out at his new foster home with the lovely Karen and John! Karen is already in love and all she can say to me about him is "Oh my God is he so precious". She's truly in love. Yep, Jenn, bring that crowbar when you go to pick him up :D

I think I can officially say that Karen has puppy fever! She's only known Woody for an hour or so and she's absolutely in love. Woody's a charmer, for sure. He's got the personality to go along with his drop-dead gorgeous puppy face :)

I know I've said it a thousand times before but THANK YOU PET TALK!!!!! . I adore this place! I miss Woody a lot but he's in such good hands. And I have to add that after Woody left, I let Boone and Kersey play in the back yard and I let them stay out for about 20 minutes or so and Boone didn't jump the fence! What a good boy. I'm 99% sure he was jumping because of Woody.

This is the perfect ending for Woody...and the perfect beginning for Jennie :) I bet he's the only rescue basset flown in from TX in all of PA!

I am ever so glad that this came off without a hitch. Kudos to all the participants (and a Happy Birthday too to Karen's John). Thankfully the staff at the airport had the heart to take good care of Woody while he waited for his ride.

Continuing Woody's Tails ...

I had to start a new thread..the other is so long.
{NOTE: Length of a thread has little to do with readability or speed of loading;
but there's something to be said for "continuity". (Phred)}

This is a new start for Woody so I started a new thread to boot.

John and I expected the Woodster at 745p so on a whim, I checked the tracking at 6p and they said he was in Phila  Thankfully I had food, water, blankies, leash ready, so John and I flew out of the house, no lights on, coats over arms and raced to the airport. We left without cameras, sorry, but relied on our new camera phones.

I want to thank Phred for all his hard work. I apologize...we did look at his wonderful directions, but our printer is broken, but My John read them and, thanks to a great memory, said he could find the "spot" Your directions were right on, Phred, and we are very appreciative.

AA employees were petting Woody through the bars (he was on his back). All smiles. John and I fed him a little and I walked him. He sat on my lap on the way home and fell asleep.

Sorry this is late..by the time we got home, played with him, took pictures (will be downloaded tonight or tomorrow..we are pooped) and spent time with the VERY annoyed Princess Klo..time has flown. John and I have had headaches all day..mine from excitement for sure, but are now OK, knowing Woody is fine.

Woody is officially up for RANSOM!!!!!! Sorry Jenn. Good luck getting the little nipper! :p Woody is asleep in John's caring arms while I type. He initiated my dining room rug when I wasn't looking and also the Big Bed, where I put him for a split second while I opened the door to his crate. (blankets etc now being washed). Woody would have NOTHING to do with his crate while we were up and about, so I took him back out for his 10th pee and now he's out like a light.

So please be patient for photos..just know the little pumpkin love is sweet, adorable, no worse for wear. His ears are amazing. I'm full of puppy teethie chomps..who cares? He is a living angel. I'm just glad I could do this. Puppy fever had biten me

I love you guys

I like to recognise Folks who do a good job - and to do that you ususally have to talk to their Boss. Woody would still be sitting in Texas waiting for the Spring Thaw if it weren't for a gal named Shawna at AA Cargo in Dallas -
she said the Magic Words :) that got Woody accepted to fly yesterday.

I determined who her supervisor was - John W. - and called him today.

Very Friendly chap, who turned SUPER Friendly after I explained I wanted to
pass a God Star on to one of his Supervisors. He listened intently as I recapped the grief & aggravation Leslie suffered at Wichita Falls, then replayed Shawna's intervention and resolution of the Woody problem with one tactful phone call.

He about *bubbled* with pride - and promised to recognise and reward Shawna for her good Customer Service skills. He also promised to *look into* the situation at Wichita Falls to see if they could eliminate future problems there. Then he thanked ME for taking the time to praise Shawna and the rest of his Dallas Cargo phone people.

Hope she likes her Gold Star. ;)

That is great Phred! But maybe you should put it in writing so it could go into her file. That's what we do here. We post it so everyone can see, and a copy goes into our permanent file. Just a thought. :)

Thanks to everyone at PT and especially Shawna!! :D :D

I think there is a certain someone around here who deserves one (or more) of those gold stars. For manning Logistics Central and for follow-up services.

I think you deserve one of the biggest gold stars. You are just Mr. Organization and just have a way of getting people together to get things done. I had to force myself not to say "YES SIR!" a couple times! :p

You really have been such a tremendous help, I'm just so glad that we were fortunate enough to have your help!

Everyone was really awesome through this whole adventure... and I can't wait to get my hands on my sweet boy!
