Luna has another UTI and peed on the sofa

I'm so frustrated. All the stress from the New Year's banging has apparently caused another UTI in Luna, and she did the worst she can do, she peed on the sofa! It's really smelly, and currently I have the spot (and it's a huge spot) covered with baking soda. Tomorrow, I'll buy some enzyme cleaner, but I don't have much hope I can save my sofa! :( I even had it covered with synthetic leather and two coats of blankets to protect it from Luna's peeing attacks, but it went right through all these coats! It's so frustrating!!! :( :(

Luna, of course, went to the vet and got her usual treatment; I hope it will help her to feel better soon. She'll be on antibiotics the next 8 days...

She got also a little health check when we were at the vet's. Her heart sounds fine, and the lump under her shoulder blade has not changed in size, it's still very small. But she has gained even more weight; she's up to 6,1 kilograms now. The vet said it's her struvite crystal diet that's too blame...

Oh, I'm sorry to hear about Luna. I sure hope she feels better soon. As for the sofa, if you can remove the cover from the cushion, try washing it on gentle in the machine and then spray the stuffing w/the enzyme cleaner, really soak it all the way through. I had to do that once when Yodie peed on a sofa years ago and it worked. Good luck. :)

Oh no, not again! :( I'm so sorry to hear this. I hope Luna will feel better soon, and also that you can save your sofa.

Thank you! :) Luna seems to do much better, but the fabrics of the sofa look terrible! LOL At least the baking soda removed the worst stench, and I hope that enzymes will do the rest! :)

When the sofa is completely dried, I will cover it again, so you can't see the ugly spot anymore.

I'm also seriously thinking about having Luna read by Nancy when my financials have improved. I just need to find out more about the way she feels when she has her UTIs, and if there's something else that's bugging her.
