Good morning Pasquale and what a pleasure it is to meet you this morning. I have never had a bird, but I think they are wonderful companions and you are so handsome. I love your coloring and like my sweet little girl Schnauzer, Miss Daisy she also prefers her Daddy just like you do.
I love the way you imitate the microwave, and your Dad's chuckling before they know it you will be wishing them 'good morning' and 'I love you'
I never knew that a bird could be potty trained, and I am amazed at that. Good for you.
It does sound like you are quite the Gourmet, with all the wonderful treats that you love.
Congratulations dear, sweet, handsome Pasquale Our Very Best Pet of the Day.

Pasquale you are such a beautiful boy! I know African Greys are very special parrots. I hear the most intelligent of all birds! You're still a baby boy so be patient, you'll have over 300 words in your volcabulary in no time although it's obvious your parents love you just the way you are....aren't they lucky to have you?

Hello, Pasquale, seem to be a very smart bird. It takes a long time to train a bird to talk, but you can do it. I hope everything goes well with the potty training. You remind me of my dog as well, for she likes her daddy more too. Congratulations on Pet of the Day!!!

You are such a wonderful bird! I love African Greys and I am a true bird lover. I have two birds (cockatiels) of my own. Its unfortunate that people don't know African Greys are smart enough to be potty trained, but I think your mommy doesn't know that even the little parrots can be potty trained! I have a friend who has cockatiels and they are potty trained to go "potty" only in their cage. They never have accidents. My birds are currently in process of getting potty trained like you, and they are doing pretty well. I hold them over a dust bin and tell them to go potty. I just have to wait a few seconds now and they do it! They are cockatiels, so I know now that almost any pet bird (from the parrot family) has enough intelligence to get potty trained like any cat or dog. I even read about potty training birdies on the web! Birds are amongst the most intelligent animals, and they shouldn't be underestimated. They can learn to talk, sing, perform all sorts of tricks, and do other things that no other animal can do. Betty the crow (who was on the news the past few days) is a great example of birds' intelligence. I think birds make great pets and companions, and I can't imagine how life would be without my sweet feathered friends. Birds may not be for everyone, but dogs and cats are not for everyone as well. I think the majority of "pet" people do love birds and all other animals just the same! Congratulations Pasquale on being our very special POTD! I hope you get some very special treats on your very special day!

Greetings, handsome Pasquale!!! It's always a special treat on POTD when one of our feathered friends is featured. I am so intrigured by your beauty, intelligence, fun loving personalities and food cravings!:) And you're not the first African Grey we've met on POTD that likes to imitate the microwave:D As a matter of fact, many of them also seem to be "Daddy's Boys!" (Or girls!!) I know that with time your Mommy will become as big a fan of you magnificent creatures as your Daddy is!! No, birds are not for everyone. But as with all living creatures who share our lives, the time and effort we put into their care is a labor of love. And how well we are rewarded for our efforts!! Congratulations to you beautiful, sweet, loving Pasquale, Pet of the Day! I hope you and Daddy (and Mommy of course) get to share a lot of blanket cuddle time and a big bowl of popcorn to celebrate your day of honor!
