(Note: Martingales are a type of restricted slip collar. When the dog pulls, the martingale will tighten but never choke your dog. Also called a "greyhound collar", it is appropriate for dogs whose necks are wider than their heads, dogs who slip out of their collars, or just any dog in general!!)

Hi everybody, I've been planning this for awhile but I just can't hold the excitement in any longer!

The website is still in the works (many many many thanks to the wonderful Ashley :) ), but here's the official introduction of my new business, Pour le Chien!

We specialize in martingales and take every detail into account. From the polypropylene webbing to the color fasted bonded nylon threading to the nickel plated steel hardware, we make sure that our collars are, first and foremost, completely safe. Not only are they safe, but they're completely wrapped in fleece backed satin so as to preserve your pup's sensitive neck. And while I have my bias, I must say they're pretty good looking as well! Here are some samples:

Very pretty! Miss Hoppy, however, refuses anything that musses her fur.

I am very interested in getting a new collar for Ginger, and she needs a martingale because she will slip her lead whenever she gets frightened (which means whenever a person or a dog larger than her approach us  ). I would love to order her new collar from you. Two questions though: first, are you offering them in different widths? I don't think a 2" collar would be comfortable for Ginger. I may consider a 1 1/2", but would prefer a 1". Second, would you also offer matching leads? They are very pretty collars, and I can't wait to check out your website.

Oh, all of the above are 1.5". We actually haven't planned doing any 2" collars yet. IMO, not very many dogs can pull off 2" collars so we'll only do them on a case by case basis.

So, yes, we do offer them in 1" and 1.5" :) Depending on what design you want, we do matching leads. However, I really suggest our velvet leads for a touch of elegance without looking overdone (haven't gotten around to taking pictures of them yet though :o ) .

It's almost done! :D Just a few more things to do, then Sophie can release it whenever she's ready.

The collars look amazing! I will have to order some for Keeva. :D

I LOVE this collar and would love to get it for Nova my Lab mix! Do you have a matching lead?
