Sterling Locke

It is with a sad and heavy heart that I must let you all know that Gina's Sterling Locke has gone to the Rainbow Bridge. He crossed on the way to the ER this morning.
Many questions will go unanswered as to why he was taken so soon. Nobody knows. :(
Please keep Gina and her ark in your thoughts and prayers at this most difficult time. Losing a dearly loved pet is always hard, but suddenly and without reason is even harder to handle, as many of us know.

How sad. I wonder if his breeder will know anything about what could have caused it. But he was a beautiful and a loved kitty, that is for sure.

I am in tears right now. My heart is broken for Gina and her beloved ark. Poor sweet Locke. I know how very excited Gina was when Locke came into her life and I know she is just heartsick and broken over his loss. To lose one so sudden and so young is just such a devastation, I know, Lilith went so sudden and so young too. I know the heartache and the questions atleast I got answers as to why but to possibly never know...it has to be beyond hard.

Gina sweetie I am here for you. I wish I could bring him back. Believe he is united with the rest of your RB ark and with my Lilith. They are all together and helping him understand. He will be one more guardian kitty angel to watch over you and the rest of your ark. Take heart in knowing you couldn't have loved him more and he knew it. You gave him your heart and soul and he blessed you with his unconditional love. You fought so hard to make him well but he just was not meant long for this world. I am so sorry.


Play hard at RB Locke. You were so loved. You touched many a heart even of those who never met you. You are greatly missed sweet boy. Look in on meowmie and be with her when she needs you ok. You will see her again one fine day and cross the bridge together.

and everyone too. I was able to stop tearing before finish reading all of your gentle words. no they won't take him back but I am able to not feel the pain for a little bit... it has been hard in past few days, no more of his wide meowings, tripping over him over his demands for handloves and say oh no, you did not.. after his guilty looks for chewing holes in blankets. that drove me nuts but now this did me in. :( :(

I tried so hard and everything yet he had to go. after I took a last look at his littlest meow and green eyes looking up at me so sad, I swear I felt his last breath with my hand holding his side laying curled up warm in my laps right before taking my eyes off the road at him again, he slept peacefully... simply went gone. long gone. I pulled off, held him in my arms sobbing my heaf off and told him I'd accept that.. (hardly). and go on find my miles. it was even harder watching him going gone.

this very same thing happened to my miles almost two years ago.. they both made decision for me before I could decide the best for them, purred a goodbye with their dazing eyes. suddenly and unknownly. :( locke has been and had taken over miles' duty as a meow starter that everyone else would sing along with him - always telling me when it's breakfast or dinner time, at a specific time - he wouldn't wait. I mis that the most, he starts my days well.. it has been unbelievably quiet and so empty around here. the feeling over miles' death is still so fresh and I already miss my silver baby dearly.. ok, I better stop now.

sterling locke sir, you were so young when you left us, crossed the colors of brdge.. I got so excited when you turned a year old a month ago beacuse of what happened, your rough start, being in the car on roadtrip without really knowing nearly any of us and with the result we found of your broken cllarbone, I was so sure you'd be around with us for many more years.. (here, this (http://www.petoftheday.com/talk/showthread.php?t=135244) is your last thread of your first birthday). and because we could and have had shared this special, unconditional love.. oh I love you and so miss you my little locky boy.

Gina...thank you so much for sharing the pictures, with all the pain you are feeling.

Did the vet have any idea what might have happened? Was he not eating for long enough that he got that fatty liver illness???

He could not have been more loved anywhere else, and was safe in your arms.
