When we came home from doing groceries today, a cute tabby girl greeted us in front of the garage. Most cats around here are allowed outside and she looked healthy and well groomed so I am sure she was not feral.
She said hello and wanted some pets- which of course she got. Then we went in and having quite some bags we had to open the door and leave it etc.- ok- kitty took her chance and went in the staircase and with the speed and invisibility they can manage here she was in the apartment.
Filou was snapping on the heating, Tigris up in the cat tree and kitty went downright in in the guest room (where the cat carrier stand) and began checking all the corners.
And then Tigris came in. He went to her and they came close to touching noses. But our newcomer began to growl deeply in her breast and Tigris (who is the chicken here) backed out - both their tails told it was not an easy story for both.
Kitty decided she better gets out and in the kitchen but there came Filou, the little puma flat in stalking mode. Filou went up to her and came even closer than Tigris and Kitty made airplane ears and began to hiss.
Filou with curious ears came even nearer and then he hissed two times (which sounded very cute).
Kitty decided it's time to go home.

As I said before- she looked very well and I am sure she belongs somewhere in the neighborhood. But if she should show up more often we might feel responsible- and it would be very interesting to see what the boys would say.

That sounded like a nice visit.. Maybe she was looking for a new home but wanted to be a only child.

Its Amazing How A Little Kitten Visiting Can Scare Cats Who Are So Much Bigger.
I Remeber How Upset They Were When Scrappy 2 First Came In, And How Calm She Was.
After All She Was A Stray And Tough As Nails, While They Had Never Had To Fight For Thier Meals.
I Hope Your Visitor Returns And Is Just Visiting , Not A Stray Friend Auditioning For A New Furr Ever Home!!! Sometimes Its So Hard To Tell Them Apart.

"A hiss is but a hiss...." I'll bet on a nose touch the next time she comes to visit! :D :D But who will she prefer....The sleek Filou or the elegant Tigris????

Stay tuned...

Awe... she felt so comfortable and at ease she just let herself right in!! I had one do that when I was bringing in groceries when I lived in Bethlehem. He was a big black and white tom cat, very vocal, and he followed me in the back door, up the stairs and right into my apartment and slept on my bed for a while. He didn't take notice of the others there at the time, and eventually wanted to go back out. He was such a sweet boy! Did find out he was a stray, and then found him a home with a girl who lived downstairs in my building... she called him Gabby because he was so talkative, lol.

Hope your girl cat comes back for a visit!!
